Okay, I need to watch that again to really process it. But I have this burning, burning question to ask you guys, because I've probably heard it wrongly. Did Zachariah said they were erotically co-dependent?

Anyway, wow. What an episode. Yup, I have to watch it again tomorrow. In the meantime, I need to have these pretties on my LJ now.

Yes, he DID. A few people are claiming he said neurotically, but if that's what he was supposed to say, it's NOT WHAT HE SAID. LOL. I suspected when I read that line in the spoilers that people were just hearing it wrong, but no. Now, that I've heard it, it's definitely erotically. LOL.

Oh Layne, I doubt they'd go there, at least not on the lips. There might be a kiss on the forehead a la Dean and Jo (and I prefer Sam doing the kissing), but one of them had to be facing death in order for that to come about.

It seems my Internet connection is down at the moment, and it's such a pain to post via iPhone, so I might have to wait until I go home tonight to pose my question. I can't wait to discuss it with you. I'm quite a bit unsure about certain things at this time (end of 5.18).

Yep, that's what he said. And that last scene, with the two of them in the car, and Dean said, "Let's bring it to them, our way," I wanted to cheer. Finally, they're really together again.

It sure was. They kept us guessing right up to the last moment, when Dean looked at Sam, and you could actually see him change his mind, just before he smiled and winked at Sam. Kudos to Jensen for acting. Man, I thought my heart would stop. It was a well-written episode and it was beautifully acted by Jensen and Jared. Every scene between them was wrenching.

What I wanted to know was whether Uriel told Cas that only angels can kill angels or only those silver blade thingy would work on one. Because it scared me a little when Dean was able to kill Zachariah with it and I wondered if all Michael needed was the nawaitu and not really the verbal "yes". :/

Castiel was so kick-ass, wasn't he? He had been somewhat reduced to this bumbling side-kick these past few episodes IMO, and I really miss Cas of season 4, you know, all intoning and scary and stuff. That Castiel was back \o/

Yes, Sam/Dean is canon! Though I suppose the vast majority of the audience is supposed to interpret it as Zachariah is being a total dick (duh!) and highly exaggerating things most likely to upset Adam, rather than uttering the gospel (heh!) truth. He did lie to the kid to manipulate him about other things.

But I really prefer the idea that Jeremy Carver is giving a wink and a nod to the Wincesters in the audience. :)

In a way, I think it's funny ( peculiar ) that Adam's expression didn't change with that erotically codependent thing. I mean, to hear that about your two brothers, there should be something there, shouldn't there? Maybe at least a WTF expression.

The only reason I can think of that he didn't react is he was hardly even listening to what Zachariah was saying.

"Your brothers...blah...do what I say and be with your mother...blah...destiny...blah...co-dependent." Something like that. I think it was all so overwhelming he just wasn't really taking in what he said.

Unless Adam had come to the same conclusion in the few short hours he'd spent around Sam and Dean! I have to admit, he had a hell of a lot heaped on his shoulders all at once, with no preparation for the existence of the supernatural. Except for being (probably slowly) eaten by a ghoul.

I liked this version of Adam a lot more than the fake one in Jump the Shark. Poor guy. Trying to be all noble and self-sacrificing, to be with his mom, then being told a freakin' angel was lying to him just to manipulate and use him as bait? In order to trap and ultimately destroy his brothers? Yeah, I feel awful for that kid. Who we'll probably never see, as Adam, again.

Yes, what you said about Adam not really listening to what Zach was saying makes sense. Or else, he already concluded that Zach was a jerk and didn't take what he said there seriously.

What I'm saying next is just a speculation, not a spoiler and if you knew anything more, shhh .. don't say anything about it!

I think it's inevitable that Michael's going to use Adam as his vessel, the way 5.18 ended. Maybe as a temporary vessel, the way he used young John, or maybe as the vessel, since I think Dean's not going to say yes now, and I could see them fighting Lucifer together - Sam and Dean and Adam!Michael. Maybe I've been spoiled for Matt Cohen as Michael ( which I totally LOVE ) because I really don't know what to feel if Jake Abel became Michael. Would he be able to carry it through? Time will tell, and his acting abilities, and the script he was given. I want Matt Cohen back!!

I don't know if any of that is true, but it sounds plausible to me. Matt Cohen did make a good Michael, didn't he? I don't see how we'd see him back, but it would be interesting!

I want to know if Sam's ever going to give in and say yes to Lucifer. The only reason I can think of that he'd do it is if he thought it would ultimately somehow allow more people to live, or if Dean was threatened with eternal damnation or something if he didn't. I don't think he'd do it to get power or anything like that.
