Finished reading Jeffery Deaver's Sleeping Doll. Took me more than a month when it used to be just a couple of days, three days tops, for me to finish a book. I'm a bit disappointed with it. Oh it has all the usual Deaver's trademark ie lots and lots of twists and turns and they're good, I'm not saying they're not, it's just that there're too many of them, thrown one after another that it made you feel quite dizzy and it got to the point that you couldn't quite appreciate them fully.

Having said that, I really didn't expect Rebecca to be the actual perp. Didn't see that one coming. And I was surprised to see Jennie still alive, too. However, I did correctly guess that there was something wrong with Winston right from the beginning. At one point I even thought he was Daniel Pell himself!

I didn't like it when Dance was so by-the-book with him. She could deny it till she was blue in the face but it was her getting back at Winston, pure and simple. And I must say that I'm surprised that Overby took her side.

*sighs* So much for picturing Kathryn and Michael ( and later Winston ) as Kathee Sackoff and Jensen.

I'm not sure what to think with the news that Jeffery Deaver will be writing the next James Bond novel. James Bond movie maybe but a book? I guess I'm not as into him now as I used to be. Lately I seem to find his characters and writing lacking in depth, though his twists are still awesome and unguessable. Mostly.

Next in line - Sleep, Pale Sister by Joanne Harris. But what with the Big Bangs and all, it'll probably take me longer than a month to finish that!

Speaking of Big Bangs, I've read ( and liked ) this, this and this. I'm planning to read this next. The summary sounds interesting. And I want to read this because the idea of Mary meeting Ellen sounds very intriguing!

It's mainly about Dean when he was young, high-school age, with flashes of memories from his old life just before the apocalypse. There is Dean/Cas but it's minor, maybe a few lines. It's a Dean-centric story and how he is in his new life - there's John and Mary and young Sam. Castiel appears mostly in his memories.

Yes, I saw that one. I hope I'll be able to read it soon! Btw, I'm highly rec'ing this (http://community.livejournal.com/wutendeskindfic/5032.html). And don't worry about the mention of Sam/Jess. Sam's writing a book on their lives, and her part came out as part of the book only. It's soooooo sweet!!!!!

Okay. I don't mind reading Sam/Jess, as long as it's not Sam/Ruby. :D

I haven't actually read a book in such a long time... and now that I'm kind of waiting to buy an ipad, I don't want to buy any.

Hey, did you see that people were all going crazy over a big bang fic that was posted yesterday? Wow.

We got tax redemption from the books that we buy, so I'm still buying them even when I hardly read them!

Yes, I saw that. Aren't you glad that the spotlight is no longer on you? :D

Is there a plot bunny for J2 somewhere in that book? :DD

Let's see. The main characters are:
- A deputy Marshall who is slightly injured in a shooting.
- A deputy Marshall who is badly injured in a shooting.
- A twin sister of the second deputy Marshall who is attracted to the first deputy Marshall.
- An army officer who pretends to be the gardener in the twins' family house.
- A writer who is writing about the President that happens to be the family friend of the twins' family.

J2 can be the first deputy and the twin sister. Hehehe. But I'm tempted to try with the gardener. :D But actually I'm in love with the second deputy Marshall.

Sorry to confuse you. :D

Without knowing what the characters actually do, I think I'd go for Jared being the army officer and Jensen the writer. The writer knows some secret concerning the President and his life is in danger, along with the President ( JDM ). The officer, Lieutenant Padalecki, is investigating the case and somehow, Jensen the writer is kidnapped along with the President. So of course, the lieutenant has to save the writer :))

Wow, you're totally ignore the deputy Marshalls and the twin sister, the real main characters in the book. :D But that idea of yours is to die for. *gulps*
