Jack/Terri is my latest het OTP
Jul. 25th, 2010 11:45 pmNooooooooo, why did she have to kill Terri??? I had an idea that Terri was going to die ( that's what you get for watching the seasons out of order ) but I was hoping that she'd make it to at least another season. I cried BUCKETS at the final scene, the way I cried when she finally told him that she was pregnant *weeps*
I really can't think of any reason why Nina should kill Terri. What good would it do to make Jack extra mad at her? Though I guess that was precisely why they did that, for a Jack-going-after-Nina storyline for season 2. I mean, other than they probably didn't want badass!Jack having to change diapers in the middle of the night. Aaargh!!
I wonder whether Jack was going to go beserk the way he did over Renee's death in season 8. Which I didn't quite get, but Jack wanting to revenge Terri's death, yes, Jack, I'm ALL for that.
Hubby was pretty upset that Nina turned out to be the traitor. He thought her awesome. I had a pretty good idea that Nina was the one, almost right from the start, from something someone said about Nina in season 5, and yes, I'm totally watching the seasons in the right order from now on. Though I was thrown back a little when Jack shot Nina, so yes, I'm a little bit confused there, the time when he put Nina in the bulletproof jacket I mean.
Going for season 2 marathon next week. Oh Jack, you've totally made me put Twin Peaks and Bones 4 on hold.
And I wonder very much if he was going to get involved with every pretty lady there was. Terri, Nina, Renee, Audrey - Jack sure liked them pretty, yes?

Date: 2010-07-25 04:12 pm (UTC)Gosh, I vaguely remember season 1 - it was such a long time ago - but can't remember Terri, unfortunately.
I used to have such a crush on Kiefer, thanks to Lost Boys, but it didn't stick around to see me through 24. The violence squicked me too much, so I gave up quite early.
*hugs*

Teri was Jack's wife. Here (http://24.neoseeker.com/w/i/24/thumb/b/b6/Teri.jpg/300px-Teri.jpg). I thought her very pretty!
Yes, 24 is pretty violent, but not more so than any other action flicks, I think.
I wonder what it is with the initials JB - we have James Bond and Jason Bourne, and now Jack Bauer. Mere coinicidence or by design?
Did you watch season 5, the one with Sean Astin guest-starring?

Date: 2010-07-27 05:16 pm (UTC)It was the torture I found particularly grueling - I really couldn't stomach watching that. The other sequences of violence were tolerable!
That's interesting about the JB lone agent connection. I hadn't thought of that. :)
No, didn't see season 5, so I missed Sean. How did he do? Did he get tortured? ;)
:D

Date: 2010-07-27 11:48 pm (UTC)No, Teri looked exactly like that. You're probably thinking of Audrey who was Jack's love interest in season 5, the one in which Sean guest-starred.
Sean didn't get tortured, he tortured other people, mentally that was. He was the one giving the orders and he was very much a by-the-book person, and you'd probably know how Jack'd react to that!
Sean did very well in his role, I think.

Date: 2010-07-26 11:12 pm (UTC)Just started on season 2, saw the first episode last night and I was a bit disappointed that it didn't continue right after S1 finale ended. I was hoping for Jack to go after Nina and kill her!

Date: 2010-07-26 11:14 pm (UTC)I think that the daughter is called Teri. I stopped watching after they shoehorned in a love story for Jack with some politician's ex-wife/daughter so I am not sure what happens with Kim.

Date: 2010-07-26 11:40 pm (UTC)Yes, she comes back with a bang in season three? I actually loved season three a lot. It's a solid one.

Date: 2010-07-28 10:17 pm (UTC)Hee. Jack's women... now Terri is Jack's only real love. Um, though he did have that thing with Nina... but that was just a thing! Nina and Jack is explosive though. Just wait and see. ;)
Audrey... she finally made Jack happy again. At least it really seemed so to me. And I hate how their lives together ended.
Renee... nope, will never buy it and how Jack went beserk for her. Though I can believe he finally had had enough but not over Renee and not in that way.
I've tried to find good youtube vids of Terri and Jack but there are NONE! How incredible is that? There's plenty of Jack with just about everybody else and even with TONY! but not his wife.( and only seen one with Chloe!) Strange.
Ah. And there's only one I can think of with Jack and Kim. That one almost made me cry, cause I kept thinking of how S8 ended and apparently Jack forgot all about his daughter and grandchild. I found that sadder than Renee dying.
So you gonna watch it all now? *grins* Addicted!!!

Date: 2010-07-29 02:39 am (UTC)I've started on season 2 and I thought the first 2 episodes were a bit slow, but last night's ep 3 has picked up a little. After ep 2, I thought of skipping S2 and going straight to S3 but episode 3 changed my mind.
One thing about Kim though, I find her a little ... selfish. But I guess that's just her being a teen ( how old was she anyway? ) and an only child at that.
Can't wait to see when Jack would start bringing that man-bag of his everywhere he went, and I can't wait to see Chloe. She made her first appearance in S3, didn't she?

Date: 2010-07-29 09:03 am (UTC)Yeah, which is why I recommended S5. The other seasons will have everything from great to ok and to some awfuly boring episodes.
Hee, poor Kim. I definitely know what you mean and oh dear me but the writers have her doing some pretty stupid stuff in S2, leaving you to believe she has no brain at all. But putting that aside... I like their complicated relationship, it was not only Jack who lost a loved one. Kim lost her mother but I think in S1 she was only a teenager, (I think they mentioned high school somewhere?) and as such being, of course, selfish and not listening to her parents.
Chloe come in S3 yes. *snorts* The most annoying person ever with a very strange personality disorder. Gotta love her.
