Long live the Red Hood!
Jul. 30th, 2010 01:29 pmA local critic raves on Batman Under The Red Hood, yay!
If you have the perception that Batman A(fter) L(edger), as in Heath, is meaningless, let me assure you that this is by far the best Batman animated movie (yes, even better than Mask Of The Phantasm) and it would have steamrolled any of the Tim Burton or Joel Schumacher inspired Bat-flicks.
And he picked my favourite scene as his, too!
While every minute of Under The Red Hood is either laced with excitement or an inner journey into both Jason and the Batman’s psyche, one particular moment best sums up the whole movie.
To paraphrase Jason, “If it had been you (Batman) he beat to a bloody pulp, if he had taken you from this world, I would have done nothing but search the planet for this pathetic pile of evil-worshipping garbage and send him (Joker) off to hell.”
From here
No mention of Dean Winchester though, not a fan of SPN I guess. He would have if he were one, the parallels are hard to miss!
tigriswolf summed it up perfectly here.
