I think there're a few people on my flist who wear scrubs/medical uniforms to work. A poll for you, dear friends, here.

I saw two movies last week. One is The Most Awful Movie Ever. The other One Of The Best Movies Of The Year. The script, the acting, the everything, it's like WORLDS apart. One left me completely flat, and I really, really wanted to get out after 5 minutes, while the other made me sit up and hang on to every single word.

Skyline and Unstoppable. Care to guess which is which? :)

OK, you got me, I'm not a fan of Pine but the movie looks promissing.

I hope you'll enjoy it as much as I did! We went without knowing what the story was going to be about, we intially thought it was going to be a spy thriller!

I saw it! OMFG! It was good! It's like Speed'2010 :) Of course it's action packed movie and there is no place for deep thoughts but as a movie to entertain? It's very good. I liked both lead characters there and the train actions been filmed very impressive.

I just found out that there'll be a new Russell Crowe movie? I'm not sure if you're his fan but you watch many movies so do you have plans to watch this one?

It was awesome, wasn't it! And the camerawork was so good I never thought that my heart could go fast just from seeing a train at close-up angles lol.

The last Russell Crowe movie that I saw was Robin Hood and I enjoyed that very much! What is his new movie?

Date: 2010-11-23 12:08 am (UTC)
From: [identity profile] leelust.livejournal.com
Yeah, the camerawork was awesome. i never thought they can film trains like that. You could feel the speed, you know. And danger. And power. It was like the train was a main character too :)

Oh, ok, so you like Russell? I saw the last movie of his is The Next 3 Days and the premise sounds intriguing. There's a family (a husband (Russell), his wife and the kid) and suddenly the wife is accused of murder and takes 20 years in prison deal. As i got it Russell's character doesn't want that for his wife because he's sure she's innocent (my spec here) so he hires a specialist (Liam Nisson) to help him to get his wife back (aka plans an escape). Can you imagine Russell as a loving husband driven by the wish to free his wife? I can't wait to see it!

I googled that movie up and omg, it has Olivia Wilde in it! She's Thirteen in House, my favourite girl doctor from that show!

Really? I was bored with House befoer she took a role there so i have no idea who she is. Guess it's another reason to watch that movie, right? ;)

I squeed about her a bit here (http://layne67.livejournal.com/717185.html#cutid2) heheh ( scroll down for her pics ). And she'll also be in Tron with Jensen!

Oh, thanks for the link! And she'll be in that videogame? (Is Tron a videogame?) Lucky woman!

From: [identity profile] layne67.livejournal.com
I've no idea what Tron actually is. At first I thought it was an animation movie, then I thought it was a video game, then my son said it's a proper movie. Maybe it's something like Avatar?

From: [identity profile] leelust.livejournal.com
*sigh* Sadly i think if it'd be like Avatar we'd hear about it already. Plus i think Jensen has no time right now for that big of a movie :( But i'd love to see him on a big screen, you know.

And yes, I thought of Speed too while watching it! The first one that is, I didn't like the second one much.

From: [identity profile] leelust.livejournal.com
Haha? i never considered the second one as Speed, you know. I like Sandra very much but she's only half of original Speen and with no Kianu there's no Speed :)

Hmm, I dunno. I wanted to see both, too, but I've heard nothing but bad about Skyline, and Unstoppable reminds me so much of Speed which I watch every time I see it on, so I'm guessing Unstoppable was good? Also, is it true that it's based on actual events or was my hubby pulling my leg on that one? I swear I didn't hear it when he says he heard it. LOL.

Yes, it was said that the events were based on true events. Omg, I can't imagine being in the place of the person who was responsible for the runaway train. I enjoyed it very, very much!

The only good thing about Skyline was the CGI aliens, that was good, but the rest was ATROCIOUS.

I'm going to guess that Skyline was bad? Too bad because it looked intriguing, sort of like Cloverfield in tone, which I think was supposed to be bad but I liked.

From: [identity profile] layne67.livejournal.com
Yes, it has been compared to Cloverfield in the reviews, which I read after watching the movie lol. I didn't get to watch Cloverfield but I wanted to! I love alien movies.

Hi there :))

I saw Cloverfield last night and I thought it pretty good! I didn't mind the camerawork but to be fair to those who hated the movie, I saw it on the small screen so I didn't get dizzy or nauseaous or anything like that. I enjoyed it and it's *nothing* like Skyline, which is just bad.

I watched it again last night with hubby. I told him it's "just like Blair Witch", which he liked, only with aliens lol.

Oh yes! I hope you'll go watch it, Janet. It's exciting and thrilling and very engaging!

I don't think there's much doubt about which one is great. I want to see Unstoppable in the theater. I think it's worth the price because it's a movie you need to see on the big screen.

Skyline was iffy, but my nephew said it was terrible, and I'm not surprised. It just looks cheap.

The special effects for the aliens in Skyline wasn't bad, it was quite good in fact, but the rest of the movie was really, really awful. I felt like puking, the lines and the acting were BAD, it's like they made the movie mainly to showcase the CGI aliens and no effort was made with the script and the directing of the actors whatsoever.

Unstoppable. Is it the one with the train? Denzel Washington and Chris Pine?

From: [identity profile] layne67.livejournal.com
Yes. They were the ones who made me go watch the movie, even when I knew nothing what the movie was all about! Do go watch!

Btw, thank you so much for the Eid sms. I was creditless at that time which was why I couldn't reply to it. I hope you had a lovely time celebrating it!
