I'm currently halfway through season 6 of 24 and I must admit that seeing Ricky Schroder was somewhat of a shock. The Ricky Schroder that I remember was little Ricky from Silver Spoons, and the little boy from The Champ. Haven't seen him in anything since then ( though from IMDB, apparently he had been in lots and lots of shows ), so yeah, Agent Doyle made me think that young Ricky had been made-up to look old, I just can't get rid of his wee self from my head!

Speaking of 24, which of these CTU field agents were your favourites?

[Poll #1672665]

I'm not sure whether Tony was a proper agent or not. I'm thinking that he was more of an analyst? But if he were considered an agent, then he was definitely my favourite!

How I wish that Jensen Ackles is one of them. Maybe in 24 the movie ... *daydreams*

For me the biggest surprise was seeing Freddie Prinze as that kick ass agent. I liked the show to go on with him as a lead if Jack was stepping out for good.
Yes, if Jensen wasn't in SPN, the role of Bauer would be PERFECT for him

Yes, Freddie was a wonderful surprise! But then, me being late to the show, every season had its surprises - Crowley (!), Misha Collins (!!), the girl who played Susan in the SPN episode Plaything.

If they ever made a movie for 24, I'm wishing long and hard ( and desperately! ) for Jensen to get a part, however small. Lol, I'd be happy even if he played the bad guy. Guh, to see him acting alongside Keifer ...

Heheh, yeah, there's a LOT more hurt than comfort in that story.

Haaaaa...I caught one of the 24 epi the other day, bot sure the number though, and I was surprised to see Freddie Prinze there. :D

AXN is showing season 8 now, which was the season that I watched first. I got hooked and started watching the whole thing. I have season 7 still to be seen.

Btw, Anil Kapoor is in S8. Remember him as the smarmy game show host in Slumdog Millionaire? Susan from SPN's Plaything is there too, playing a kick-ass FBI agent. And Misha Collins was in one of the earlier seasons ( can't remember which one ) and Crowley was in S5.

Yup, I watched Anil too.

BTW, Crowley? He's everywhere! I even saw him At Warehouse 13 and he's a good guy there.

Agent Renee Walker was sooo different from sweet, worried Susan!

I forced myself to stop watching in the middle of Season 2 because it was just too evil... Too addictive! It was like a sickness, waiting for the episode to start each week. Maybe now that the show is over, I can mainline the whole thing. LOL

I've seen Rick Schroder in a few things as a grown man. It is a bit jarring, isn't it? Of course, I feel that way about Elijah Wood too. *hee*

Oh God, yes, 24's cliffhangers were pure evil! Mainlining is the way to go. I watched up to 3 episodes at one go, sometimes 4 or 5 even. And sometimes I found myself wishing that I was into it when the show was still airing, it'd been fun getting into discussion with its fandom!

I knew Elijah after Lord Of The Ring. I only went looking for his earlier movies after the trilogy, he was truly an adorable kid!

Yep, jarring is the word ( Ricky that is, not Elijah ). But then, I didn't feel the same way with Neil Patrick Harris. But then I guess he was already 16 (?) in Doogie Howser and now he's only 36 while Ricky was 10 (?) before and now he's 40. And apparentl he has a grown son now!

I just realized that Rick Schroder is pretty close to my age... That's very weird, considering I have a very vivid memory of him in "The Champ"... Geez, how old was I when that movie came out? 13? 14?

My favorite Elijah Wood film has to be "Forever Young" (I had a thing for Mel Gibson back then). He was the cutest little boy EVER with those big eyes of his. I don't think I've ever gotten used to seeing him as an adult. LOL

The Champ and Kramer v Kramer came out at around the same time, didn't they? I sometimes confused those two. I initially thought Ricky was in the one with Dustin Hoffman but nope, that was KvK. I remember crying buckets watching that.

Exactly!

Do you know [livejournal.com profile] bandwench? She did a very excellent manip of Jared and Jensen together with Elijah once and it looked so real! Heheh, tiny Elijah standing in between those two huge guys, awesome!

Oh, Jensen, my Jensen. *sniffs*

Not at all! He hooked up with Kim ( that's Jack's daughter ) but broke-up ( off screen ) in season 3.

I thought Chase looked a lot like Wentworth Miller. Now that's one man I'd love to see with Jensen.

Oh, right! :D

Umm, at a glance it's okay with Wentworth but I don't think he can act very well. Oops. :D

Heyyyy, that's a Princeton graduate you're talking about lol. And he's been nominated for Golden Globe before!

But no worries, I didn't really watch Prison Break, and I'm not really into him, but I do think he's hot, almost as hot as Jensen!

Which one?

But that was rather a provocative pose, what with the legs crossed at the ankles, and the arms just like *that* ;P

I want to check both Chase and Curtis really. I'm more fond of Chase but I really liked Curtis too. His part was smaller but in more seasons and I hated how he died. So I'll go with Curtis.

Tony was an agent so probably had all the training but I'd say he was definitely more on the analyst team. It took a long time for me to like Tony for some reason. But if I rewatch it now I like him from start. :)

Yes, the way Curtis died was very tragic. But I was kind of annoyed with him, too, for his stand against Asad ( heheh, I've a new found crush for Alexander Siddig ).

I can't wait to see how he was "resurrected" in S7. I accidentally saw a random ep from season 7 which was airing on our TV and I saw Carlos Bernard and I thought that maybe he was Tony's brother or something but then I thought I heard Jack called him "Tony"!! No, no, don't say anything. I'll be watching S7 soon enough but I'm dying to find out what happened!

I told hubby that Tony *had* to be an undercover agent and I was right! But what I didn't see coming was Bill Buchanan as his handler. I screamed the house down when I saw him, I was soooo shocked! But the good kind of course as I adore him! He looked good with his scruff and all.

Oh Tony. *meeep* I don't think I can say anything until you've seen it all. You wanna be spoiled?

Aww. Bill. I really like him. And the actor. I've actually communicated with him on twitter. Very briefly of course but he replied! To me! :D

Nononono don't say anything!!! I LOVE to be surprised!!! The ooohs and aaaahhhhs in watching shows sans spoilers are so much more fun and heartfelt!

Eeeeeeeeeeeee!!! You've communicated with Mr Buchanan! That's so awesome!! I wonder where Karen Hayes is. I do hope they haven't broken up or anything like that. No no no, don't say anything! And Chloe's pregnancy. I'm kind of thinking that she might have lost the baby.
