Well! That was pretty interesting. I enjoyed it, especially at 18:53, which I replayed over and over again. Oh Balthazar, just for that alone I adore you.

I love seeing Ellen again, and I cried at the end when I saw that pic of Bobby, alone. And apparently daddy Winchester himself almost made it back as well???

You seriously considered John Winchester?!
He was on the table. God knows if we could have even gotten Jeffrey [Dean Morgan]. We didn’t know. As soon as [we] came up with Ellen, we said, “Yeah, that’s right.”

From here. ( Some spoilers for future episodes at the end of that article ).

Now if John really had made it, I would have died of happiness. But Ellen was good, too. I didn't know anything about this episode so seeing Samantha Ferris's name there made me squee really, really hard!

So yeah, overall a good episode, one that I enjoyed esp 18:53. Oh, have I said that already? :))

Cas mentioned the whole soul-less thing

And you know, to me it had the feel of the writers admitting that Souless!Sam plot was wrong!

What part did you hear this in? I don't remember Cas mentioning soul-less Sam.

Lol he didn't actually. Went and rewatched the second half of that episode - look at what you made me do ;P - Fate accused Cas of wanting the souls for his war and my imagination did the rest, when they said he changed the timeline and all, I was wondering which parts of the boys lives were changed - John's deal? Dean's deal? Dean in hell? The apocalypse? Soul-less!Sam? Since the last one is my least favourite of the show storyarcs, and I guess my subconcious associated that with those souls from the unborn descendents of the Titanic passengers, and lo, Cas had a brand new line lol!

LOL! :D

Well, we know for sure that Sam and Dean stopped the Apocalypse from happening (both Cas and Atropos mentioned it), so at least the major events in the timeline must have taken place. As for soul-less Sam, I guess we'll never know for sure.
