And oh boy, am I rec'ing this.

The Righteous Man in the Shallow Grave by [livejournal.com profile] bellatemple. SPN/Bones crossover, gen, rating R, 27,030 words.

Summary: When an unidentified body is found in an illegal grave in a field in Pontiac, Illinois, the body gets shipped to the Medico-Legal Lab at the Jeffersonian for identification, and Death calls Tessa in with a warning: "The righteous man has broken, and the angels have breached Hell's gates."

Written for the [livejournal.com profile] sncross_bigbang, I was absolutely delighted when I first knew that the author was writing a Bones/SPN crossover and was thrilled when it was posted a few days ago. But I kept my excitement in check ( or tried to ) because you know, high expectatations and all that jazz. But [livejournal.com profile] bellatemple delivered, and beyond. It was awesome and amazing from start to finish. She gave a very credible crossover with the characters from both fandoms sounding true to what we know of them. A Must Read, especially to fans of both shows!

Cool! I haven't watched Bones in a while, but I liked the first two or three seasons. I will definitely check this out.

I went off Bones a little when Booth's love interest was around but now that the the girl is no longer around, my love for it is back full force!

I've been checking out that crossover big bang comm and I'm hoping there'd be a good House and CSI:NY crossover soon.

I looked at the list and bookmarked a couple of stories, including a Criminal Minds crossover. Those are usually pretty good. Now I just need to find the time to get the stories into a format my Kindle can handle (PDF will do) and upload them, so I can read them comfortably.

And find a time to read them, uninterrupted...hah! Even living alone, it's hard to find time I don't interrupt myself , every 10 minutes or so, when I think of something else I really *should* be doing, errands I really have to run, etc.

Have you read Those Campbell Boys (http://elizasomething.livejournal.com/8153.html) by [livejournal.com profile] justforspite? Now that's one awesome SPN/Criminal Minds crossover! My two other favourite SPN/CM are Redux by Baylorsr and This Bitter Earth by Artsavage. You must read them if you hadn't already!

I've read Redux, which I really liked, and This Bitter Earth was very good, too. I haven't tried Those Campbell Boys, but I'll take a look!

I wondered if you'd seen this. I read it. It was pretty good characterization-wise, but the story felt flat to me. I guess I wanted more. I really didn't get any emotion from it at all.

Oh but it really made me literally quiver with excitement! Dean coming back to life at the lab ( with a bang! ), Castiel, Hodgin being the one who gave Dean the benefit of the doubt ( I really like that! ), I think it's the best Bones/SPN crossover that I've read so far.
