So, while looking for all things Kit Harrington aka Jon Snow of the Night Watch, bastard son of Lord Eddard Stark of Winterfell and half brother to Robb Stark, the heir to Winterfell, and if I had my way, future king to the Seven Kingdoms, the Bastard King ahaha, this Jon Snow -



Where was I? Oh yes, I was looking for pics of Kit, hoping to find one or ten of him with Richard Madden ( that's Rob Stark ), I found these.

Eeeeeeeeeeeeeeee! I almost didn't recognize Jon and Rob there. Omg, I'm so going to read the Jon/Robb in modern setting AUs now!! The glasses ::EPIC FLAIL::


And I totally did NOT recognize Daenerys there, she looked so different in RL!! But they looked good together and it gives me hope of a canon Jon/Dany!!!

I couldn't find a proper Jon with Robb pic but I love this one, that heartfelt farewell hug ::heartbreaks:: Oh I do hope that's not the last time Jon saw his brother :(

Man, it is so unfair.

Tits everywhere and all we get is one tiny glimpse of firm pecs and rippling abs. They didn't even have the decency to wash each other. *grumbles*

Heheh, that's another scene that HBO added in, right? Trust them to put in that, along with that, you know, the chest-shaving one :))

I didn't plan on readin the fanfics but I just sort of stumbled into them and now I can't get enough of them. But I'm careful to read the authors' spoilery warnings, I certainly do NOT want to know who else is going to die lol.

Have you finished book 2? I'm halfway through it.

You're one fast reader! I'm still at book 2, the Lannisters had been pelted by the angry mob at King's Landing yay!!! I was kind of hoping that Sansa managed to run away but no such luck. I'm also somewhat hoping that the Dog would symphatize with her, I'm thinking that he has a soft spot for Sansa.

Omg I can't wait to see Kit as Arthur. The Arthur of Merlin the TV show, while cute and adorable and the show fun and funny, he's not really my kind of Arthur, and neither was the Arthur in Camelot. Sean Connery was wonderful of course but he's not very squeeable lol. They didn't mention anything about Guinevere, did they? Except for the one in Merlin, I've yet to find a Guinevere whom I like, it's mostly the adultery thing that put me off and I like the twist they put to that particular triangle in Merlin. From the link that you gave, it seemed like it's going to be a total reboot of the Arthur legend!

A little speculation on Bran. He kept dreaming that he was able to fly, now what if House Stark became allies with House Targaryen, I'm thinking that maybe Bran will become a dragon rider! Hee, way off base?

Have you read the Merlin Series by Mary Stewart? I couldn't watch the TV Merlin because I wanted it to be as good/like The Crystal Cave, The Hollow Hills and The Last Enchantment. Beautiful books that are a joy to read. itstonedme read them recently and loved them as much a I do.

I reread them like I reread LOTR.

What I forgot to say is that THESE are the books I want to see brought to life.

I only watched one episode of Merlin and I was disappointed. :\

Heheh, the only way to enjoy Merlin the TV show is to keep it FIRMLY in mind that it's a semi-comedic show, and not to take it too seriously.

Yes, the show's from HBO and season 2 is coming up this April. Sean Bean was in season 1 and he was awesome! Made me think that that was how Boromir's life probably would have been like if he didn't die in FotR. He did the Lord of Gondor the North thing extremely well!

Aiden Gillen was in it ( you know him, right? ) and Natalie Domer ( Anne Boleyn! ) will be in season 2. Heheh, her character's husband is gay for her brother. And I think you'd like Jon Snow's hair in the show ;P

I read the first book and couldn't decide whether I should read the second one or not but then I simply couldn't wait another 4 MONTHS to know what happen next so yeah, I'm halfway through the second book now!

The next season airs in April, but they haven't announced exactly when.

BTW, the DVDs? Should be out soon! I'll get the link for them, but they're priced incredibly low, I think, considering everything in them!

ETA: An article on Season 1 DVD details, including cover and other artwork. I think Amazon has it for around $45. I don't know what the overseas price will be, though.

Btw, about our little discussion on who's the older brother, from the fanfics that I've read ( yeah, I'm neck deep in them now ), it seems that Robb is the older one but only by a few months.

My current favourite one is Jon coming back from the wall to serve his King of the North and Robb needs to get married and Jon is all broken-hearted and all but he stays on with Robb and they have a relationship in secret. Kit is definitely the cutest of the entire cast! And Jon Snow is probably my favourite character too. I think he's the only character who ever stands up and says, "Hey, that is wrong!"

He is and he is and he does! And now I'm really hoping the movie 'Arthur and Lancelot' where Kit is supposed to play Arthur will come through. And I do hope Jon Snow won't be killed off in the show. Someone told me not to get too attached to any of the characters but it's too late now lol.

I'm halfway through the second book and it's as good as the first one. Though I've to admit that I'm a little fearful as to what's going to happen next, kind of bracing myself for the unexpected.
