Dec. 20th, 2011 05:22 pmSaw New Year's Eve and I thoroughly enjoyed it, despite its poor rating ( which I found out after I watched the movie ). Loved all the Jensens in it ( Jensen this and Jensen that lol ), and omg I didn't know Ingrid was actually Michelle Peiffer until later. And Josh Duhamel! That was the first time I saw him in anything.
I think I've a new-found love for movies of this sort, you know, stories ala Love Actually ( a HUGE favourite! ) which are made up of several vignettes loosely intertwined, stories that leave you guessing on how the characters connect to each other, the epitome of chick-flicks, but chick-flicks or not, hubby and the boys loved that movie, too. Ahaha, and apparently the boys had seen Valentine's Day as well, which I haven't seen yet. And I need to find Paris, Je T'Aime, the sister movie to New York, I Love You.
Survivor:South Pacific Finale. I was really, really disappointed that Ozzy didn't make it to the final three. I just knew that he wouldn't win the immunity when I saw it was a puzzle challenge. I couldn't even watch that, and I couldn't watch the duel with Brandon either, I was so invested in him! And to think that he was not one of my favourites earlier on.
But I'm glad that Sophie won. I like her even though she irritated me at times but oh my, I loved what she said about Coach being her "pretty girl". Go Sophie!
The Amazing Race 19 Finale I don't think I've ever seen 3 teams so overjoyed with each other when they found out that they had made it to the finale. Come to think of it, I think this is the first race in which there were no overt animosity between the teams, they seemed to really like each other this time, and I like that.
Lol, I think they were happy that the pro snowboarders weren't in the final three because without those two super power, the race was more evenly matched. But hey, Andy and Tommy had won those customised Mustangs and what could be more awesome than that? Oh yeah, right, I million dollars.
The finale didn't make me all tense up the way Survivor did because I really didn't mind any of the teams winning, I like them all though I guess it must have been extremely frustrating for Amani and Marcus to lose the way they did, them being on home ground and all. Lol, I wondered at first why the other two teams said it sucked when they found out that they were going to Atlanta for their final leg.
And I really do think that the cab drivers deserve a special mention by the winners, especially in the finales. That one with the GPS navigator, the drivers who called each other up in Panama City and who could forget the one with the EZ Pass in TAR 10. And my favourite, the "Bourne" cab driver in Malaysia *loves*
Can't wait for the new seasons of my two favourite ( competetive ) reality shows. And thank you again.
oxer12 for making that distinction between "reality shows" and "competetive reality shows" :)
