i_o_r_h_a_e_l and I were talking about who should play Glorfindel if PJ had not had him replaced with Arwen. And I couldn't get Lucius Malfoy out of my mind! You know, him with the long blond locks and snooty looks. And I dont think Glorfindel was snooty at all. Or was he? I think I have to go and reread him in the book.

Whom do you think is the best actor to play Glorfindel?

Oh, this reminds me of something. serai1 posted LOTR Cast From Hell. GO read it if you haven't already. It's hilarious. No Glorfindel there though :-(

Well, I dont know. He has the height ( or the lack of it, I should say ) and such an ageless look to him, so much wisdom in his eyes yet at the same time so much laughter in them too. But then, I guess that's the fangirl in me speaking *grins*

Hm, Lucius Malfoy looks great! Only just great! But I think he's ten years to old. Over this I had him already put in Anne Rice's Vampire Chronicles as Marius (with Lili as Armand). But how about Stuart Townsend? Or maybe not? I don't know.

Who's that in your icon? He'd be great as Glorfindel I think. And Stuart Townsend too. But I DONT want Glorfindel to look like Lucius Malfoy! Malfoy is too nasty to be the elf :-)

This is Tom Cruise as the vampire Lestat de Lioncourt. He looks hot in this role, but he's there so entirely nasty and naughty, maybe also not the right one for a boring innocent creature of light and wisdom. ;)

omg I didn't recognize him there! i'm not really into Tom Cruise but with that get-up I think he could play Glorfindel. A short Glorfindel though :-D

I'm also not really in Tom Cruise, but I think this was his best role ever. He looked so great there! Much better than Brad Pit as I think.
Yeah, he'd be a short elf. Maybe a Hobbelf on a pony Asfaloth. ;)

I love the idea of Matt Damon and Ben Affleck as Merry and Pip though. They are already very slashy in RL that the idea of them as Merry and Pip really got to me. BUT only in the parody version of course. Dom and Billy ARE Merry and Pip you could never imagine anyone else playing them :-)
