1. Many, many thanks to Shinta, Jas, Steff and Samena for the lovely blue dragons. It's certainly the Year of the Dragon, eh? ♥♥♥

2. A couple of quick recs. A Sherlock/LOTR crossover brilliantly written by [livejournal.com profile] aussiepeach. Here, where Frodo first met the Consulting Ranger at the Prancing Inn and its sequel where the Consulting Ranger met the Irene Adler of Lothlorien. Much hilarity ensues and yeah, I'm surprised that none of the Fellowship hadn't punched Sherlock yet lol. Read, read, READ! ( Thank you [livejournal.com profile] frodosweetstuff )

Uhm, Katikat, I don't think you'll have any objection to the casting of Watson here ;D

3. A crossover vid of sorts where House meets Sherlock meets Fortysomething. Or rather where Dr Paul Slippery had migrated to US to become the famous consulting doctor while his son, Rory grew up to be the equally famous ( or equally annoying, depending on whom you ask ) consulting detective.

Here. ( Thank you [livejournal.com profile] katikat for the heads-up! )

When I first saw Fortysomething, I was struck by how well-cast Benedict was as Hugh Laurie's son and I'm so happy that someone made a vid with all 3 shows in it. BC was so adorable when he was at that age!

And now my greatest wish is to see them together again. They cast Stephen Fry in that Sherlock movie so hopefully it'd occur to someone to get Hugh Laurie to guest star in Sherlock series 3!

Thanks for the link to the Sherlock - LOTR stories. They're really clever and such a fun read.

I know, right? I've seen Aussiepeach around but I've never read her fics before. I'm so glad she wrote that. Though I guess Aragorn's fans won't be exactly happy with the new ranger in Middle Earth :))

I don't know Fortysomething - what am I missing?

Here (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fortysomething_(TV_series)). It has Hugh Laurie starring as a doctor facing a fortysomething crisis and Benedict was his eldest son. BC was in his twenties then, very adorable looking

Was the series any good? The ep summaries sound a bit strange...

Lol yes, that summary is strange. But it's a good show, really. It's semi-comedic, about this doctor ( Hugh Laurie ) who was in his mid-forties and starting to feel insecure about life in general, his career, his personal life. His wife was starting a new career ( she wasn't a *literal* headhunter btw ) and he thought she was having an affair at work ( she wasn't ). He had three sons, the eldest ( Benedict ) was starting university, the middle boy is a sex-crazed teen and the youngest was quite rambunctious, doing things that kids do to drive their parents crazy. He was kind of going nuts at that time, and he started hearing voices, he thought he could hear what other poeple were thinking, mostly about him. It was hilarious!

Okay, I'll tell Other Half to look out for a DVD of this. :DDDD

He, I know all about headhunters (the not "literal" ones) - they are common in my line of business. :)
