Wonders Of The Universe. And Fringe.
Mar. 6th, 2012 05:26 pmFringe 2x20 'Brown Betty'. Oh how I love this episode. Walter and little Ella with the story-telling, I thought that was so sweet. And the story itself omg. Olivia sang! Astrid too, and Walter and Broyce. I was a little disappointed that Charlie Francis wasn't in it, and that Peter didn't sing as well but he danced! With Olivia!! Brilliant episode, love it SO MUCH.
Brian Cox: A Night With The Stars That was fun. Now if only my physics teacher when I was secondary school was anything like him. As it was, my teacher was the boringest of boring and the subject itself drove me nuts. I got through physics by memorising everything and regurgitating them back during the exams.
So, yeah, An Evening With Brian Cox: Night With The Stars was fun. Because he made it fun. But sexy-adorable physics professor aside, as far as physics is concerned, physics was, is, and always will be, a huge mystery to me. Give me Maths anytime, or chemistry, physics is just not for me. He was talking about quantum theory and I just didn't, couldn't, get it *sighs*
And talking about quantum theory, I initially thought he was going to talk about the universe and the stars and all that, so it was a bit of a disappointment for me that it was mostly about, hmmm let me see what I retained, physics-wise - electrons and protons and neutrons couldn't share the same space? waves of electrons? and ... that's it lol. The interesting part for me came during the last 5 or 10 minutes when he talked about dying stars and the white dwarves, and that there's a dying star ( planet? ) in Andromeda that's actually a zillion carat diamond. Awesome.
I adore Brian Cox. I adore it when he talks about the the universe. I just don't like physics.
