I think I'm ready for another adventure...

I’ve been feeling rather out-of-sorts lately. My periods are 2 weeks late and I’ve gained 2kgs in ONE month. I wouldn’t have bothered to check for pregnancy because it’s quite usual for me to miss one whole month but lately my youngest has taken to jumping on my tummy for recreation ( the outcome of allowing your kids to watch WWE ). So I did a UPT just to confirm that I’m not pregnant so the little monster can continue using me to improve his wrestling skills. Guess what. I’m pregnant! It’s a bit of a shock really. Yes, I do want a girl, very much, but after a year of trying I’ve pretty much thought that my ovaries have run out of functional ovums. Guess I’m wrong.

I’m a bit nervous about this pregnancy. Mainly because I’m definitely not a young woman anymore so the risks are higher. And my sister-in-law who’s about my age just had a miscarriage.

My past 3 pregnancies had been plain sailing thank God but this one may be different. And the labour pains, oh my, just remembering that scream-like-a-banshee-inducing-pains is already making me shudder. It’s the hope to have a daughter that’s making me want to have a 4th child otherwise 3 would have been more than enough.

And I guess I’m rejoining my old breastfeeding-mothers community *yawns*. Hee hee I don’t really mean that but they ( oh dear I suppose it's we now ) certainly talk about different subjects *grins*. But I’m not leaving LJ though, nothing can tear me away from my slash-fics!!

Thank you. Yeah it's a bit unexpected but not unwelcomed. And maybe if I do get a daughter I'll call her Eliza.

That's great news! I do hope you have a girl - although if you remember our 'conversation', boys are good too! Every expectant mother worries about her pregnancy - and as regards age, well, medicine has come a long way. You should know that.

Oh yes I remember that *g*. But mostly I remember the stories that you've told us about your daughter. You're so lucky to have a daughter as sweet and wonderful as that.

Thank you! Though at the moment I'm being mostly hormonal. I don't remember being like this before. So this must be a girl, right? Right? This hormonal thing, sometimes I feel like Borderlines!Casey. And speaking of Casey, what do you think of the last chapter? I love it even if that kittysnuggle did not happen :(

I'm halfway through Borderlines right now. I haven't had a great deal of time to tackle it in one sitting, as I'd have liked to. What I've read so far I absolutely ADORE.

I have 3 boys as well and have always been *desperate* for a girl so I know just how you feel. Fingers crossed it will turn out as you want but if not... you'll have a 5 a side football team with your husband!

I had terrible problems with the first and third pregnancies (blood clots) and I nearly died with the last one. No more babies for me although I still dream of having a daughter. I only had the last 2 sons because I was trying, still they are all gorgeous.
