Saw this article in the newpapers today where Elijah was interviewed by a local journalist reagarding 'Happy Feet'. Fairly squeed off my chair when I saw it :D

Here's the online version of the interview.

Nothing new. But I did learn about two of Elijah's upcoming films which I didn't know before.

Day Zero, a movie about a military draft where he plays the lead character, Aaron Feller.

and

Oxford Murders, a thriller based on the work of Argentinean award-winning novelist Guillermo Martinez. The movie is about a professor who works with his students to solve bizarre, mathematically-based murders in Oxford. The movie will be filmed in London sometime next January.

Has anyone read the book 'Oxford Murders'? I prefer reading the books before they come out as movies and the story does sound intriguing. I wonder whether Elijah will play a geeky student mathematician complete with glasses and all.

Ah, so he hasn't started "The Passenger" yet. People were speculatin' that the longish hair he sported at ORC last year was due to the demands of that movie.

I've read the book, but I don't recall much of it. It was interesting though, because I finished it, and I am so not into math at all. There's a review of the book here.

I'm sure Elijah could play a geek with glasses. Heheh.

I'm definitely buying that book. And I'll read it, too :)

The only thing is I hope the story is nothing like the TV series 'Numbers' ( sorry hon, if you're a fan ).

Apparrently John Hurt will be playing the Professor. I like him. And yes, I think Elijah will play the geek to perfection!

Yeah, it sounds interesting. I love mystery novels and the combination of whodunits and Elijah - I'm in heaven :)

When I was young I liked Agatha Christie and Ellery Queen. These days I like Patricia Cornwell, James Patterson and Elizabeth George to name a few.

Why did I read: whether Elijah will play a gay student mathematician?

Must be my muddled mind.

I bet that the story will generate lots and lots of fanfics with regard to the gay geeky student mathematician!

I'm so pleased that he's really doing that film, it sounds interesting AND it means he'll be in England. All right so it's not where near me but it's still the same country.

Wouldn't it be wonderful if they get Viggo to play the professor to Elijah's student? Hee, I know of this one particular person who'll simply die if that happens.

And who knows, maybe the author who's an Argentinian will put his foot down and insist on Viggo playing the lead instead of John Hurt :D

Oh yes, I know that person who would be sooooooooooooooooooooooo pleased. It wouldn't make her day or week but more likely her entire life . All she'd need then was... my God, I nearly said something very, VERY rude. Rude for even me, who writes about bums and willies!

She'd have never forgiven me!

Day Zero is the movie because of which he had to shave his head completely. Have you seen all those pics of him with bald head and a tattoo?

About the Oxford Murders, a geeky student is a perfect role for our favourite geek!

Thanks for the link, sweetie!!

*hugs*

Yes, I've seen all those pics but I didn't realize then that it was because of his role in that movie. I don't know whether I'm going to like that movie or not because I don't like military movies and the other things is I don't like Elijah without his hair!

As for the other movie, that I'm really looking forward to. I love whodunits!
