Double-click on the Fraps icon on the bottom right-hand corner and look for 'options'. You should be able to adjust things in the 'capture' option. It being a bitmap shouldn't affect the size at all.
I did that and 'settings' came up instead of 'options'. But I cant see 'capture' anywhere after I clicked on 'settings'.
The thing is, the screenshots came out alright on my computer. It's only when I upload the pics to photobucket that they're resized to the size that you see. Any idea why?
Aha! Photobucket automatically and arbitrarily re-sizes everything above 250 mb, and bitmap has a very high resolution. Do you have photoshop or paint? If you do, run the pics through 'image size', and taking note of the original size, lower the resolution to 72 (it's usually 300). At the same time - and I mean without clicking 'ok', adjust the size back to the original. Then re-load into photobucket. If you don't have photoshop, send them to me and I'll re-size them for you.
I dont have photoshop but I do have paint. Unfortunately I'm quite unable to follow your instructions. Maybe my paint is different from yours? I suppose if I want to post my screenshots on lj you people would have to use magnifiers *grins* Quite a pity really. They come out big and clear on my computer!
The instructions were for photoshop. If you have paint, try 'save as' and save the bitmap as a jpeg. It'll compress it some, but I suppose you've already tried that. You could still send them to me. It's a pity not to use them after all your work.

Date: 2005-07-07 05:21 am (UTC)Omg it's that easy! And to think that I'm already thinking of registering with fraps and paying so that I could capture jpeg images.
Thank you so much my dearest.
