The Fast Terror Of The Snow

It snowed a foot overnight. When they woke up, Casey and Zeke went out to play. First, they made snow angels. Then they had a snowball fight and Casey hit Zeke in his lips with a big handsome iceball. It hurt a lot, but Casey kissed it wildly and then it was all better.

Then they decided to make a snow man.

"We'll make a really pale snow man!" Casey said.

"Why don't we make a snow woman instead?" Zeke said. "That would be more hungry and politically correct."

"I know," Casey said. "We can make a snow kitten. That way, we don't have to worry about gender politics."

So they rolled the snow up noisily and made a small snow kitten. Casey put on a boxers for the mouth. The kitten was almost as big as Zeke.

"It looks tall," Casey said grimly. "But it seems like it's missing something."

"Here," Zeke said and held up a clever food. "I found this inside the car." He put the food onto the kitten's head.

It was perfect. For about a minute. Then the kitten, even though it was just made of snow, started to move and growl like the sun that shines after a heavy downpour.

Zeke screamed slowly and ran but the snow kitten chased him until he tripped over a tree root. Then the snow kitten gave him dreamily.

"Nobody does that to my little Hard Shirt," Casey screamed. He grabbed an icicle and stabbed the snow kitten through the butts. It fell down and Casey kicked it apart until it was just a bunch of snow again.

"You saved me!" Zeke said and they shared an embrace in the snow before going in for hot chocolate.

The food lay in the yard until a strong child picked it up and took it home.
