I was reading semaphore27's 'This is the Way the World Ends', rec'd by sophinisba when my eyes were drawn like a magnet to this *points excitedly*, right at the bottom of this Masterlist, see, it's there - 'Cloudbursting' ( Orlijah for slackerbitch ), and from there I found out about 'Journey's End' - six whole chapters of them!

The story is good, it feels real, as if it really happens. While not exactly a sad story, it's not a happy one either. Bittersweet, that's what it is. I felt like crying and laughing at the same time.

Here's the first chapter. The rest of it can be found in the afore-mentioned Masterlist. And 'Cloudbursting', to be read after the final chapter.

Thanks for the rec. I read the Journeys End series (this morning) but I don't think it's ever going be continued. :( Because it's from so long ago. Sure was lovely and bittersweet and well-written.

It's always exciting to find not-yet-read old Orlijahs. Old fics I mean, not geriatric Orlijah.

Yeah, I guess it's never ever going to be continued. But we can always hope. And actually that's not a really bad ending, if you can call it that.
