Thanks everybody, for doing this brothers' poll. The Brothers of Gondor got the most votes ( 48% ) followed closely by the Winchesters ( 40.0% ). And there were quite a number of not-in-the-poll-brothers brought up, that I thought I'd mention here.

Abfic : Zeke and Casey of 'Birthright'. Soul brothers, I would say. And if baylorsr ever decide to continue with the story, I hope they'd be more than just brothers *g*
Monty : Hector and Paris. Those beautiful brothers of Troy.
Nate and Shinta : The Petrelli brothers from 'Heroes'
Shinta : Julian and Dick Kirrin. The brothers from 'The Famous Five'.
Ala tariel : Charlie and Alan Harper from 'Two and A Half Men'.
And also from Ala Tariel : Mario and Luigi of the Super Mario brothers!!
For RL brothers, Abfic mentioned Zach and Elijah, and I myself am quite fond of Emilio Estevez and his brother Charlie :D
And also a special mention to Siegfried and Tristan from James Herriot's 'All Creatures Great and Small' series. I love them!!

Siegfried and Tristan! They are totally incredible. I fell in love with BOTH of them in that series of books. Poor Tris got everything so wrong but he meant so well and he never lost his confidence, and Siegfried was witheringly, sardonically funny. Also, I loved that time early on when Siegfried was complaining about his parents having named them after Teutonic opera characters (I could be remembering this incorreclty, but the gist is the same) and Herriott said it could be worse, it could have been Wotan and Thor. (Or something like that.)

Oh God I love those three vets. Slashy me even slashed James with Tristan! And I was heartbroken ( on behalf of Tris ) when James got married. Those pre-marriage stories are simply the best. There are so many favoutite moments and of course those Teutonic names are a scream!

It wasn't nearly so fun once James got married. The three bachelors living together were so hilarious. I was quite young when I read those books and wasn't necessarily thinking slashily, but hmmm... James and Tris, why not? Both young and cute.
