layne67Jennifer Hudson totally blew me away with her performance in Dreamgirls. When she won all those awards, and not Cate Blanchett, I was like, what the -- But then I saw the movie, oh boy, she was simply awesome. Her vocals and her acting are superb. I would so watch that movie again and I'm not even into musicals. And Beyonce, she was beyond beautiful. The only thing that I didn't like about the movie was Eddie Murphy. Yikes.
Can't say the same thing about 'The Departed'. Not even my beloved Matt Damon could save that movie for me. To me it was just, I don't know ... dry? 'Babel'should have won the award for Best Film, and not 'The Departed' IMO. I'm itching to get my hands on the original Hong Kong version, they say that it's a lot better than the remake.
