I finally got to watch S3/07.
*** Spoilery pics under the cut ***
That final scene, it tore at my heart. It's even more heart-wrenching than
7. Dean calling John in 'Home'. "Dad, I don't know what to do."

6. Sam dying himself watching Dean dying.

5. Sam and Dean watching their father being burned at the pyre.

No tears, none *seen* anyway, unlike in this scene.
4. where Dean poured his heart out to Sam. Why he felt that he shouldn't be alive.

Even more moving than
3. John making his final appearance. Omg, the sight of him flickering like the ghost he was, fairly broke me.

2. Dean saying "I'm tired, Sam. The intent to end his own life clear in his voice and expressions.

Oh Dean, you made me cry like a baby when you gave him
*your* baby. No tears, nothing OTT, just you handing over your most prized possession to the person you love most in the world. This, this is the most moving scene for me from the entire episodes from S1 to 3.

What about you? What are your most heart-wrenching, throat-constricting and gut-twisting moments?

Date: 2007-11-25 06:08 pm (UTC)^^Score so I'm not the only one who wanted to see that. I really REALLY wanted the second part to pick up from from there..I mean maybe just the opening...cause it would have just been even more heartbreaking to have to see the direct aftermath of that scene...to see Dean trying to get Sam back to the impala....*reads more*...hey lookie..you said the said the same thing.
BUT I do have to say, opening it with a shot of Sam lying dead on that bed still hurt like hell. And then to see just how crushed and destroyed Dean was...yeah...still amazing either way.
^^You know...seriously, I think there were a few...but it's been SO long that I have no idea where they may be. Maybe you can do a fic finder thing...I do know there were ones that took a look at certain missing scenes...I wrote one that was kinda Dean's inner monologue from the time Bobby left to the time he decided to leave for the crossroads...if you're interested in that I could link you....sadly all I have.

Date: 2007-11-26 03:17 pm (UTC)Mom’s gone, Dad’s gone, Cassie didn’t want me, and now, my last pillar, my last reason to keep fighting the darkness slowly consuming me is gone. Sam, did you ever know you meant that much to me? Did you ever realize that my only genuine smiles came from seeing you happy, seeing you smile, or hearing you laugh?
That was lovely. Thank you.

Date: 2007-11-26 03:44 pm (UTC)I'm glad you liked it. I was worried it wouldn't turn out well since I was doing 1st person on a character who's rather complicated but it's one I think I know well.
Hope you get to read the others....would love your opinion on those as well. :-)
