And this vid, The Way I Am, created by Killa is the perfect Sam and Dean to watch before Season 4 starts. The story of their lives, the happier times, it made me want to cry a little it's so gorgeous. Because we may never get to see the boys that happy and carefree again *sniffles*

1. The final scene in 'Crotoan'. I LOVE and ADORE this scene so much that it hurts. Sam and Dean having a heart to heart talk ( again! ) by the lakeside. Gorgeous scenery by the way. I could barely keep myself from moaning squeeing out loud the first time I watched it ( because of the hubby, must behave myself in front of him ), I thought the setting so romantic what with the soft music playing in the background, and I do not mean that in the Wincesty way. Well, maybe a teeny-weeny bit ...


Dean standing, leaning with his hands on the the fence, Sam sitting on it. I thought Dean look at peace with himself here. Until Sam started asking him things. Wanting to know why Dean said he was tired of the job.
Dean : "I thought we were gonna die. You can't hold that over me." We. What he said there confirmed my thoughts that there was a second bullet for himself if Sam turned and he had to kill Sam.


Dean didn't want to talk but Sam was persistent.
Sam : "Then I guess I'll just have to keep asking untill you do."


Dean : "I just think that we ought to go to the Grand Canyon." Oh Dean ...
Sam : "You're not making any sense."
Dean : "I think we should take a break from all these. Why do we get stuck with the responsibility?"
Sam " Why are you saying these? Dean, you're my brother. Whatever weight you're carrying, let me help a little bit."


The music changed, and the whole mood became tense when Dean was about to tell Sam what John told him just before he died.

Beautiful, exquisite scene. I thought it revealed so much of Dean's love towards Sam when he was just about ready to give up hunting, because we know that hunting is Dean's whole life - "It's the only thing that I'm good at." He just wanted them to be, even for a short while. The burden that he had to carry, alone, and knowing that he would never be able to do what John expected him to do, if the worst happened.

And I wish with all my heart that Dean would get to see his Grand Canyon before their story ends, whatever and whenever it may be ...

And that's it, the countdown ends today, and I'm guessing that the Sam and Dean we'd see in the new season would be different from the Sam and Dean we used to know. How, I have no idea, but I hope and I pray that the love they have for each other would remain, no matter how changed they both are. Thank you for walking down the memory lane with me ♥

And now you're responsible for my goosebumps. I always feel them when i watch this scene. Dean is so desperate, so want to persuade Sam to lay low to quit hunting for awhile just to postpone inevitable revelation. I can't stay calm when Dean's begging for something, just can't. Big brave hero is begging, it's just... *shivers*
Anв i'm so glad you've mentioned Grand Canyon cos speaking of ending i'd love to see it as they two (alive of course) standing there with that great view before them. That'll be the perfect end of the story for me *sigh*

Dean wanting to quit hunting really struck a chord within me because hunting is EVERYTHING to Dean. That he's willing to give it up for Sam, because that's what it was all about wasn't it? Hunting means going after the supernatural, and Dean's afraid that Sam's destiny would make Sam one of Them, that's why he wanted to give it all up.

And Kripke has to give Dean his Grand Canyon, he has to!

Yes. Of course. Cos Sam for Dean means more that his life - he willingly gives it up (nad we actually saw it later in 221). He just want to buy some time and figure out what's going on but Sam doesn't want to wait... it's so typical for him... (not only for Sam but for maybe every younger children when they discover something big about them).

As to Grand Canyon - we need to write a petition to Kripke :) Just to be sure he knows what we want.

I wrote a tinny Grand Canyon ficlet a long time ago. I wasn't really into SPN then, I wrote it for a friend. And I had no idea at all then about Dean wanting to go see Grand Canyon! Am I psychic or what? :D

I don't know where he's from but it sounds more like maybe jewish? Cos as we names our children with that name - the short form use only in family and for friends - never as official name - if he'd be real russian descent he'd be Michael :) And Misha at home. But maybe his parents were just fans of something in russian literature?

Hee :) He's not my type of the man at all and actually i was afraid i won't like him much cos of that but he had such great chemistry with Jensen that i rethink my thoughts of him :)
