Colours! Glorious, wonderful, gorgeous colours. Smith and Wesson. Like the guns! Oh boy, those angels sure do have a fine sense of humour.

And Dean's parents are Bob and Ellen! He eats salad, and drinks fruit juice! And drives a hybrid! Sam sitting hunched in that too-small cubicle! The sexual tension! Did anyone else feel that? The Ghostfacers! And I'm using way too many exclaimation marks!!

And I've always wanted to see Dean in a normal surrounding, a nice house, a good, normal job. There was WIASNB of course but that wasn't quite the same because Dean knew something was wrong then. Here he's the genuine thing, well, almost genuine. And sooo pretty!!

*takes deep breath*

I thought it was a fine episode, and a good way to show a Dean who has recovered from the trauma at the slaughter-house. No h/c but we already have those in the fanfics, and a happy!Dean ...

I must say I didn't think it was the angels doing all that though. I thought it might be the Trickster. Or just them having a dream. That company was called Dream something after all.

I love this episode and I think Jensen did a wonderful job potraying a yuppy professional, and his transformation at the end there back to Dean the hunter was simply brilliant.

And how awesome was it that I wasn't spoiled at all for that episode and I got my full dose of wonderful, GLORIOUS surprises!!

ETA : I've been reading other people's reactions to this episode, and no surprise, fandom is again divided. My take is that Dean needed to hear what the angel had to say at the end there. He was broken at the end of OTHOAP, he had no will nor the desire to have anything to do with the apocalypse. I don't think he even want to hunt anymore. He wasn't listening to Castiel, and he probably wasn't listening to Sam either. So the angels gave him that alternate scenario, life without hunting, and have him experience it firsthand for himself. The whinging part was harsh, yes, but again, Dean needed to be jolted from his ... stupor, his apathy. I don't think it was meant to be taken literally, that Dean was whining and stuff. He needs to get into his groove and I think the angel, what was his name, Zachariah? succeeded where Castiel and Sam failed. And anyway, the show could never compete with the codas / fillers / h/c written by the fanfic writers here so I'm more than happy to get my supply of those here on LJ!

ETA 2 : And I DON'T think show is saying that Dean is whiny. There's only two references to that, one was Sam under the spell of the siren, and the other one last night by Zachariah, and like I said, that shouldn't be taken too literally.

That man is BEYOND beautiful. And OMG I love the side-parting, and I kept thinking of Jared looking at Jensen and thinking how pretty his co-star was.

I don't think I could take another uber-angsty episode after the last one and this one's perfect for me. I love this just as I love The Ghostfacers of last season!

Just had to poke my nose in here. Although Jensen has been slender (he seems to have bulked up a lot this year, I blame Jared):D. He has always had the most freakishly wide shoulders I have ever seen. You can really tell when he is shot from the back. I just wish I had an icon to show them.

But don't get me wrong...they're hot. :D

I wasn't fond of what the angel said but I think it had to be said in order for him to deal with what's coming next. Castiel could never had said it, he has way too many conflicting feelings for Dean and thankfully Uriel is dead because if it had been him saying it I'd have killed the smarmy bastard myself.

I've stayed away from the reviews this time because I knew it probably wouldn't be pretty and I didn't want to go ape shit on anybody :)

I really wanted to lick the TV last night. He was absolutely gorgeous and you're right I didn't think he could be any better looking but damn if he just doesn't get better. *whimpers*

Each time I had to do something, go to the kitchen for instance, I had hubby pausing it on JENSEN'S PRETTY, PRETTY FACE!!!

I was surprised that there're people who don't like it actually *sighs* This is a bit like the reaction to 'The Ghostfacers' all over again, isn't it? The Dean!girls are unhappy about the whining part, the Sam!girls are unhappy about Sam not being in the final scene. You can never please everybody :/

Which is funny when you think about the fact that the whole two first seasons were pretty much Sam centric and him being a whiny emo boy. So now that it's more Dean centric and him being emo it's not okay but hey whatever. That's why I ignore most of it and try to stay away from the rest of it.

I love all the episodes. Of course there's always going to be something in there that I don't particuarly like or respond to but it's not something I feel the need to moan about. Except maybe how much I despised Uriel, which only proved the Robert Wisdom was a great actor to make me hate that character so much.

That man is soooo beautiful, Julia. Whoever gets him in RL, man or woman, is going to be one lucky person, and I'm not going by his physical attributes only. From what I gather, he's also a wonderful man inside.

I love him in everything, but yeah, that striped shirt with the red tie and the red braces - *DIES*

I love the colours of the show, it's such a contrast to its normally drab surrounding that I kind of weeped a little at the end when its back to its usual backdrop.

unless you are rather "dean-like" then one wouldnt understand that sometimes the way to get through to someone like Dean is to be harsh and blunt. Dean needed to hear it. End of story.

It's hard to please everyone. If the writers came up with a storyline that pleased the group that hated that episode, for SURE there would another group who's going to hate it. I'm thinking that the writers are doing the best that they can given their limited budgets, and with just 5 episodes to write everything in.

But it's good in a way because it shows that SPN has fans who genuinely care about the show and what happen to Sam and Dean.

*sighs* I cringe at some of the reviews that said the episode was bad, as I'm sure they cringe at the ones that said it was good!
