Surviving Supernatural.
Sep. 24th, 2009 11:30 pmSurvivor : Samoa - lol there's a Jack Sheppard among the survivors!
surgicalsteel, are you rooting for Mick? Anyone else here watching Survivor?
I hate that snake in Mick's tribe. That's the part of Survivor that I really dislike - the backstabbing and everything that goes with it. And when the really awesome people got voted off first. But having said that, I think this season started off well. Love the way Mick chose the right person for each task. I'm rooting for Shambo and the lady cop as well.
As for SPN 5.02, I've yet to watch it properly on TV. I've seen it on the computer but it was amidst the hoo-hah of a family gathering so I couldn't really get to hear what was said. But I got the gist of the ending. And Dean's reference to Mount Doom. I wonder who Dean's favourite LOTR character was. My money is on Strider, but that could just be me projecting myself on Dean *g*
Anyways. I know it's cliche and all that but that saying If you love something, let it go ... etc, etc has never been truer for Sam and Dean. Doesn't mean it's not painful, it's painful as hell but I truly believe they'll find each other again. They just need their space.
And also, it tickled me that their separation made me think of married couples whose marriages are on the rock and they have to go on separation trials. And it also reminded me of what Dean said to Bobby in Tall Tales when Bobby said that Sam and Dean were like an old married couple. Yup, Bobby was right. They really are like a married couple, aren't they?
ETA: And, I think Dean said Mount Doom pit-stop? Dean watches The Amazing Race as well omg. And this season there'll be gay brothers Sam and Dan competing!

Date: 2009-09-24 07:26 pm (UTC)I also think Dean's favorite character is Strider! All of a sudden, Dean's last week's remark of Michael looks like Cate Blanchett makes perfect sense now: He's a closet lotr fan! ;-)
Both Dean and Sam were so "grown up" at the end there. It hurts so much when they parted their ways, yet it also brought so much hope because it was clear they were on their way to healing. Sera Gamble did a wonderful job with the script imo.

Date: 2009-09-25 02:13 am (UTC)And yeah, I forgot about that Cate Blanchett remark. Hee hee, he's probably secretly thinking of Sam as Sauron ;P
And he also probably think of the Impala as Shadowfax.
Btw, hon, wanna give The Amazing Race a try? It premiered on the 27th *pokes*
Miss you!
