OMG the pretties!!! Arms, arms and more arms!!! I was extremely distracted by Sam's and Dean's pretty, pretty faces ( and arms! ) to really concentrate on the story itself, not to mention the pants that leave absolutely NOTHING to the imagination.

1. Now if that nurse had been a real nurse, her finding Sam and Dean together in that room? She would totally have reported that to the doctors and they would probably add incestuous tendencies to their current diagnoses of pathological co-dependancy, paranoid schizophrenia with narcissitic personality disorder and religious psychosis. A psychiatrist's wet dream indeed though that doctor didn't seem all that happy. Huh.

2.The girl that Dean saw in his hallucinations - wasn't she Meg's new meatsuit?

3. I was totally hoping that Sam's telekinetic powers would resurface when that nurse's pointy weapon almost skewered Dean. You know, the way he saved Dean in 'Nightmares'. But that would bring up Sam using his demonic superpowers again and I guess the writers didn't want to go there. At least not yet. But yes, I was disappointed with that.

Overall, not a bad episode. I'm putting it together with Fallen Idol, The Children Are Our Future and The Curious Case of Dean Winchester. But the boys' ridiculous prettiness? That's a whole different league altogether, a class of its own!

Boys in blue robes that emphasize their broad shoulders and general ... largeness nicely.

Oh and little touches here and there, and the way they look at each other, Sam worried about Dean for weeks since Jo and Ellen's death, Dean wallowing everything up and soldiering on, Dean dropping his pants, waving his arms and go "pudding!" All these I adored. But my favorite little scene (which I watched over and over) is when the very high Sam pinched Dean's nose, and the look the very sober Dean had on his face. Guh!!!

I had a blast!

Actually, what did that mean, the pudding thing. I don't quite get that. I thought he was flashing the nurse.

Yes, Dean did just that! I believe it's a reference to the movie "One Flew Over Cuckoo's Nest". This episode referenced several times to "Silence of Lamb" and "One Flew Over Cuckoo's Nest". Of course, there's also the "Silkwood" reference.

Gosh, the word "pudding" will never mean the same for me ever again! Jensen is outstanding in this episode. Why am I even surprised or bother to mention it again and again?

It's a term used for flashing then? As used in that movie?

And heheh, it tickled me that the title for this week's Bones is 'Proof in the pudding' lol.

I haven't seen Cuckoo's Nest or Silkwood, but I did see Silence of the Lamb. I didn't catch any reference to that movie but then as I said I was too distracted by Dean's overall prettiness! Which part(s) was it?

The one reference I recall, to Silence of the Lambs, was during the first time Dean was talking to the female doctor. He said he had some questions, and she said so did she. Then Dean said, "Quid pro quo, Clarice," which is a direct line from the movie. Then the little sucking sort of thing he did, was copying what Lecter did after saying he enjoyed a good (liver?) with a bottle of Chianti. Then the doctor said something like, "Okay, Hannibal," so she got the reference, too.

I've never seen the other two either, but they are so famous I heard people talking about them. There are two references to Cuckoo's Nest: 1) Dean told wraith!Nurse: Look here Nurse Ratched, I’ve seen "Cuckoo’s Nest", so don’t try any of that soul destroying authoritarian crap on me. 2) Dean went "Pudding" on wraith!Nurse.

For Silkwood reference, it's when Dean asked Sam: How was your “Silkwood” shower? I gather in the movie, the main character Karen Silkwood who worked at a nuclear power plant underwent a radiation detox shower where there was high water pressure and hard scrubbing.

As for Silence of Lamb, when Dean first met his head!Doctor, he said to her: Well then, quid pro quo Clarice. and did that lip thingie, a pretty impressive impression of Hannibal Lecter I might add.
