It's good to see Dana Walsh again since I thought that we had already seen the last of her. I admit to giving this little squeak of delight, seeing the name Katee Sackhoff appearing on the list of stars. Though I still can't say whether it's just the character or the actress that I like as I've never seen Katee anywhere else before ( I don't watch BSG! ).

Oh my, she really is deliciously evil, isn't she? She'd make a marvellous demon on SPN. Heck, I think I'd even like Ruby 2 if she was played by Katee. That smouldering look, the panther-like grace and the swagger to her walk, her lips! I've said this before but I'll say it again, I totally agree with Katee being the female Dean, as said by lassiterfics here.

Yes, Katee Sackhoff has now officially joined the ranks of my celebrity girl-crushes. Which is slightly different than my celebrity boyfriends as the list hasn't changed much over the years, unlike the BFs. Understandbly so since I don't crush on the girls the same way as I do the guys!

Here be my girls : Gillian Anderson, Annette Bening, Helen Hunt, Ashley Judd and now Katee Sackoff. And oh, Victoria Principal too because you know, Pamela Barnes-Ewing is love.

Oddly enough, I never slashed Starbucks/Apollo and I think that's because I want Apollo for myself!! I remember being upset whenever there was a female love interest for Apollo in the show. Apollo ( and Richard Hatch ) was my Jensen back then!

Well. I doubt the "new" Apollo is anything like the "old" one. In fact I know he isn't and I've read too much negative comments about that. (Hard for me to read cause I love new Apollo!) But Richard got to be the true hero and ladies man and all that. The new Apollo... eh, not so much. Starbuck is the one who is the hot shot pilot and yay she does it really well. You don't mess with Starbuck. Hee.

But did you know Richard has a small part in the new series? I don't remember when he first turned up but he's there on and off.

Yes, xwacky told me about that. Heheh, do you know that I have absolutely no idea how Richard Hatch looks like now? Despite what Xwacky said about him looking good, I dare not look at his current pics because I want to remember him just the way he used to, and is that silly or what? :))

I'm glad to hear that the new Starbuck is great because I'm really a fan of Katee now. I'm so going to miss Dana Walsh :((

When I look at his old pics I think he looks the same. Older obviously but the same. I can totally understand you want to have your old image of him though. :)

Ah. Dana. I wish the writers had written her differently in the beginning. I see what you mean about her character though and I definitely like her much better now in the later half.

Dana is such a strong character. I know she's evil and all but there's nothing wishy-washy about her, haha, evil right to the very end! I love it that she took off her shoes when she tried to make her getaway from Jack!

I thought it very clever, the way the writers side-tracked us with the two guys storyline earlier on. At that time I thought she might be the mole but then the two guys came up and all thoughts of her being the inside person went away. I was totally blindsided when she received the call from Samir!

Which past season you think is the best? Sean Astin guest-starred in one of them, right? Which one was it? Thinking of downloading it once season 8 is over.

I liked season 1 of course cause the format was all new and shiny and even though it started very slow there was a build up tension I really liked. But of course, like every season it also had a lot of really stupid plots. That kinda goes with the format. You have to suspense your belief a lot sometimes. If you do it works. :P

But if I am to rec a season I have to say season 5, where Sean Astin was in. It had a lot of good stuff IMO. And I loved the chemestry between the President and his wife. Which btw was Logan. And well, I guess it's no spoiler now to say we were all fooled by this president.

Kutner was in 24? I don't remember him. Hmm. Season 6 is the season everybody hates. I am not sure why. Ok, I understand some of the hate but I thought it was ok. But that's me. 24 addict. *lol*

Oh dear, season 6 was controversial? Why I wonder? I love Kutner in House and I'd love to see him in 24 but I wouldn't want to dl that if it's bad.

I saw the first ten minutes of BSG the mini-series last night, just before I went to bed. My God, Kara Starbuck was excatly like the old Starbuck, only in a female body and he ( Starbuck ) used to irritate me with his brashness and loudness and snarkiness. I hope I'd like female!Starbuck!!

24 has always been controversial. Why season 6 is more... I really don't know. Perhaps there was abit more torture than usual. But season 6 also had some very poor plots unfortunately. It was just not believable how much you tried to see it their way. There was some really cool and amazing stuff going on too. But I think people were disappointed because of season 5 being somewhat of a favorite and with how the season ended, the hopes for season 6 were very high and it didn't deliver to what pople wanted to see.


*lol* Oh yes. She is very brash! Ah, but I loved that about her. (Too bad they changed Starbuck too much in later seasons) And I loved the tension between her and Apollo. Hate and love is a very thin line! *ehum* That's how I choose to see it between them anyway. :D

You've not seen the original BSG, have you? The similarities between the old and new Starbuck is very startling, quite eerie really. Katee must have studied Dirk Benedict really welll to get that part down part. I remember wanting to strangle Starbuck because he annoyed me so much while wanting to cuddle and hug Apollo! Hmmm, I have a feeling that I probably will like Kara better when they changed her character. But then, I didn't like Dean Wincester initially either, he was so brash and snarky, prefering the quiet Sam instead, but now Dean is totally my favourite brother, snarkiness and all!

No, I haven't seen the original. From what I've read I assumed that all that is really in common of the original and the new one is the names and the overall general story but even that in the new one has changed.

Yeah, I think Katee knew what character she was doing and kept some of that. Think she rather liked to play that kind of ass-kick role. I've mainly read about Apollo, (cause he is my crush) so know all about how very different he is from the original. Some call him weak but I can't see that. I see a lot under that surface. (Or think I do)

You know what. You got me to see the mini again this weekend + episodes 1 and 2. *grins* I just love the actors in this series. They're all so great! I absolutely adore Mary(President) and James plays a terrific and very creepy Baltar. Him and Tricia(Six), so fun to watch.
