Two fics which I've been reading over and over again because they're so moving and touching and I feel them, even cried a little. Castiel and the daughter of Jimmy. The angels and their human vessels. Short, but they packed a punch.

Summary : Claire Novak prays for her father.

“Claire,” Castiel said patiently, though the corner of his mouth lifted in a brief smile, and he stopped on the sidewalk, turned to face her more fully. And that hurt, her father’s blue eyes trained on her, the same lines around his eyes, same furrow in his brow, and she felt suddenly and foolishly that if she just screamed loud enough, if she just shook hard enough, she could shake and scream the angel right out of his body and he would be her daddy again, fervent and pious and maybe a little crazy but hers.

Castiel talks to Jimmy, asks questions and answers queries. Whenever Dean says something that doesn't make sense, Castiel goes to Jimmy for clarification. After the re-indoctrination, though, Jimmy refuses to communicate at all, so Castiel gently tucks Jimmy away and lets him sleep, dreaming of Amelia and Claire.
