On the advice of

suzy_74 *waves*, I'm currently watching 24 season 5. One, because Sean Astin was in it, and two, Suzy said it was one of the best seasons and yes, I agree with her, it has been very thrilling so far!

And also, Mark Sheppard! That was a very pleasant surprise indeed, seeing him playing a different kind of demon.

Sean Astin made me think of CEO!Sean in

lbilover's Woodjin verse. You know, before he became a doctor and went off to stay at the Pines.

I've been dying to squee with you about this!!!

You're right, season 5 is very good. In fact, I'm beginning to think that it's even better than season 8. There's so many twists to it that at one time I even thought the First Lady was the traitor!

I'm at the episode where Evelyn, the First Lady's aid told Jack that she knew who was behind everything ( the girl who played her daughter was so much like her, I wonder whether the little girl was her real daughter. Any idea? ) and omg, the President himself! I didn't see that one coming at all!!

And yes, I know what you mean by seeing Samwise in Lynn :)

There's SO many good characters in season 5. I LOVE the play between the President and his wife. He is so deliscious devious (once we finally find that out) and she is so... crazy and yet she's not really. Ahhh, wonderful.

Yeah, the President. Knowing what you did of him from season 8 I didn't think you would be drawn in by him like me when I saw it. :D

That's another reason why I love season 5, the plots really are more tighter I think, with all these characters and you sit there guessing and on your seat biting your nails. Think I need to see it again!

Hmmm, no I have no idea if that girl is her real daughter.

I really, really like the First Lady. I gave a fist-pump when she got into the motorcade with the Russian President. And I love it when Aaron(?) took care of her! It was at the end of that episode when I fleetingly thought that the First Lady might be the traitor. She gave this kinda sinister smile when she was brought back into the house and I thought then omg she was It! I'm so glad that didn't turn out to be true. And I'm glad that it wasn't Aaron either!

One other thing I love about season 5 is the number of familiar faces in it. There's Mark Sheppard who played Ivan Irwich. He was an awesome, very likeable demon in Supernatural. Then there's Peter Weller ( Robocop!! ) who played Henderson, Henry Ian Cussik ( Desmond from Lost ) who played the German agent, Stana Katic ( from Castle ) who played Collete ( oh my, she was hot! ) and of course, Sean Astin!

One more, the VP was the actor who played The Reaper!

Ohh, yes Desmond! I kept waiting for him to say "brother"! Man, some roles are planted so firmly in my mind it's difficult to seperate them from the actor. :D

Aww. Aaron is lovely. Season 5 is his biggest part in 24. He's one of the very few that could ALMOST join Jack as a character to be in all seasons but sadly he didn't turn up in season 8. Really wish he had.

Oh there's another one whom I just remembered. Julian Sands who played Vladimir Bierko. He was in the movie Arachnophobia ( that was many years ago! ) and I had such a crush on him then :DD
