My boy laughed out loud when I asked what teams were in the Top 16. "Mum! This is not American Idol! You don't say Top 16 or Top whatever!"

Excuse me.. "So, what are the 16 teams that make it to the next round, then?" Heh, isn't it easier to just say Top 16?

Anyway, congratulations to USA *pokes [livejournal.com profile] claudia603 and [livejournal.com profile] quarterwhore* for making it to Round 2. I know football ( rest-of-the-world football that is *g* ) is not popular in the US, but congrats all the same! Congrats too, to all the other teams that made it. And also, go Japan and Korea! I know more about EPL than I do Japanese or Korean football, but, still proud! ( Though I have been hoping for a North Korea vs South Korea match because that would have been electric. )

Two more weeks before I get to watch TV properly again.

Happy weekend, everyone!

I know nothing about football, which is soccer, to me, but it's a pretty big deal for the US to do as well as they have, so that's cool for all the fans.

To be honest, I don't know all that much about it either but hubby and my two older kids are ALL about football so I end up knowing a little, and enjoying it too when I watch it!

I don't know much about football either, but yesterday I could use the time when Germany played, to drive all the way home from a friend. It took me only about an hour instead one and a half, because the streets were almost completely free from cars. I like football! ;P

Hee hee, and I thought you drove fast because you wanted to reach home earlier to watch that match!! Congratulations Germany!

I bet if Germany goes to the finals, the streets would be completely empty :D

Thank you! :D

Well, I have to admit, I would maybe also watch that game then. On the other side, to have the whole autobahn alone for a car slalom ballet is a tempting thought too. Hmmm ...
