My shows are baaaack!!!

I wasn't exactly thrilled when they first revealed the racers in The Amazing Race Asia Season 4. I mean, come on! They're mostly celebrities ( again ), young and hot and sexy and incredibly giggly, most of them anyway *grumbles* I'm thinking that those people have been invited to audition and I know that in the original American TAR, the casting crew scout for interesting people ( read pretty ) to take part but the eye candies are maybe, like, a team or two only. Beauty queens here and there, models, a few of the lesser-known actors. I undestand the need to get these people in, I do, but the teams in TARA 4? I'd say 6 out of the ten teams racing are made up of celebrities *huffs*

I'm totally rooting for the 3 teams that I think are genuine - the two best friends, the husband and wife team, and the father and daughter team. And maybe the Rebel Best Pals. The rest ... meh.

But having said that, last night first leg was totally AWESOME, and hey, they began in my country! It was fun and vibrant and colourful and I'm so glad my teams are still in. Though it was a close call for Dad/Daughter team.

Though one thing peeved me a bit. They didn't show the part where they travelled to Penang, didn't even mention the fact that Penang was hundreds of kilometers away and they didn't show the bridge. I wonder, did the teams really drive to Penang or were they flown there?

And oh, that was quite an egg-in-the-face for Peugeot lol.

Survivor Nicaragua. It's still too early to say I guess, but this thing about dividing them by age ... IDK, but it felt kind of wrong to see the younger team flaunting their youth, vigour and vitality, sashaying in the way they did when they had their first challenge. I'm hoping that they'll reshuffle the tribes soon. But I like the girl who found the medallion, Brenda I think her name is? She reminds me of Kristin Kreuk! And Fabio omg, that guy is unbelievable lol.

The Amazing Race ( the original version ) premiers next week. I'm looking forward to see how the doctor plays the game. It's a first time I see a doctor in TAR, plenty of lawyers before but no doctor yet. I hope she'll do better than Dr McSteamy did in Survivor!

Well, Allan did mention that it was a four hour drive. It was a great episode, though, right? I'm totally rooting for the Malaysian boys, they seem like genuine fun guys. Not too happy with the other Malaysian team, I'm getting a Terri/Henry vibe from them.

I'm somewhat rooting for the father/daughter team too, but pretty much meh on everyone else. The hubby is rooting against the party girls because of the fact that they picked that guy up and left him stranded at Batu Caves. Poor guy!

I cannot not post about my favourite show in the whole wide world! But urgh, you saw the promos for it? One of it is like a promo for The Next Asian Top Model instead of a racing reality show heh.

And yeah, Hilda is another Terri. Haha, must be something about western guys that make these ladies behave in such a way. I can't imagine our Mat or Ah Hong or Karrupiah tolerating such display of emotions!

Ethan and Khairie rocked! I hope they continue with their awesomeness even when they're not on home turf. I wonder very much where they're going next.

And yeah, leaving that guy stranded was a completely shitty thing to do. I hope those girls get eliminated next.

The Bollywood guys have grown on me, somewhat. They're kind of hilarious heheh, but the girls are still irritating.

Why/How on earth did father/daughter get stuck on the ferry?????

I watched it for the second time last night, and yeah, I saw the part where they travelled north, and what Alan said. How did I miss that? I have my eyes glued to the TV all the time!!

And I'm so glad that I have you to squee with! My previous seasons TARA posts had me squeeing all by my lonesome self lol *squishes you*

Saw the second episode last night. I'm beginning to find people whom I like, other than Brenda I mean. I still like her, she's cute and awesome and seems to be smart as well. I didn't get it why they wanted to vote her out!!

I like Marty and Holly ( I didn't notice that she's an ER doctor before ), they seem cool and collected and smart. And I'm so glad that the person who got voted out, got voted out. ( You have seen it, haven't you? I don't want to inadvertantly spoil you )

Yes, I've seen it! It seems like for the second time in a row, the person who got voted off talked too much at Tribal Council and left themselves open to being booted out! Folks need to stay quiet and play a smarter, more subtle game.

I know! And really, sometimes I think they never even watch Survivor before! First Shannon and now Nay is mouthing herself off, do they want to get voted off? *head-desk*
