Revenge: I suppose we were told about this before but I must have missed that part or something. Why is Nolan so subservient towards Emily? He seems to be doing all she asked him to do without question. Eeeep, he's so slimy that I kept thinking that now he's going to betray her but he never did. At least not yet. I'm so afraid for Emily!

Once upon a time: I watched the pilot last night and five minutes in I was just about ready to give up ( princes and princesses talking in non-British English doesn't sound right ) but then I remember that quite a number on my flist seem to like it so I persevered and surprise, surprise, it was GOOD! I watched House 8x05 before that and Chase was there and I was just thinking of Cameron and how I missed her with Chase and there she was in Once Upon A Time, looking all blonde and pretty and just plain awesome.

And Taub's babies are beyond adorable *wibbles*

I kind of like that Nolan is like that. I think he's the most interesting character for me on this show.
As for OUaT it's a mystery for me. I'm not familiar with those fairy tales and don't like the cast mostly but i like the show. Why? I have no idea.

Oh I like Nolan, too. I think he's very intriguing and all. It's just that, him being the way he is, it seems a little bit OOC for him, him letting Emily ordering him around like that. And she doesn't even like him. I wish that she'd like him though, as it is, their bond seems to me to be very fragile.

I'm only familiar with Jennifer Morrison ( Dr Cameron of House! ) and I kind of liked her in House so it's lovely to see her there.

I hope Sam the dog will bite that Amanda.

If it was just the fairy tale, I probably wouldn't have liked it - I need my kings and queens and castles to be "authentic", if you know what I mean. Then the story took a left turn when Emma turned up and just like *that*, I was hooked.

No, I haven't. Do you recommend it? Is it The Tudors/GoT "authentic"?

Uh...Not really. But only because the "fairy tale land" is not really set in this universe. It aired on NTV7 waaaaaaaaaaay back when I was in school. Essentially, the RL ppl (from New York) got mixed up with all these fairy tale characters when a prince-who-got-turned-into-a-dog escaped through a magic mirror to Manhattan. The bulk of the story's set in the Nine Kingdoms, though.

Also, it's a mini series and not a tv show.

Anyway. YES, I RECOMMEND IT. ;)

I think the deal with Nolan is that Emily/Amanda's father invested in his company when no-one else would, and of course he made billions from it, so he feels he has a debt to repay for him believing in him. Plus I assume he realised early on that her dad was innocent and that he'd been set up and so he's invested in helping Emily exact her revenge.

So, underneath all that exterior, there must be something good inside. My son has this crazy idea that Nolan is actually Emily's brother. Lol, I think he's still remembering Harper's Island.

Yes, I was going to say what janinelearner said -- I think he feels he owes a huge debt to Emily's father. I haven't seen the latest episode so I am not going to comment or discuss more on this, haha! (I just downloaded it yesterday but haven't had an opp. to watch it!)

I actually like Nolan, it's just he's so creepy that I'm so afraid that he's going to betray Emily soon. I wish Emily would like him, she trusts him but I don't think she likes him!

I've yet to watch the next ep of Revenge, but it's waiting on the DVR. Like the others, I think Nolan is repaying his debt to Emanda's father, but I hope he eventually grows tired and makes her grovel for his help.

Once Upon a Time - love it! I'm not a big stickler for accents, so that doesn't bother me.

I just watched the pilot (and second episode) of Once Upon A Time, too! And I was all like *flail*. I loooove fairy tales, and seeing the characters in a modern setting makes my heart happy. :D Oh, and Jennifer Morrison's character here is sooooo much better than Cameron.

Lol yeah, Cameron being all neurotic was a wreck to watch, but I liked her with Chase. Her Emma is very, very unlike Cameron!
