I raced through the last third of Games of Throne book 2.

The early part was quite slow-going, Arya's part for instance, and Dany's. Jon's was quite slow too but heck, GRRM could write about him sleeping and I'd be all agog reading that ( hehe, I bet he'd be all angsty even in his sleep ).

Anyways, it was probably a good thing that my laptop was out of it that day because otherwise I'd be spamming my flist with all things GoT, caps and wails and whimpers and exclaimation marks aplenty to be sure - Renly's alive OMGOMGOMG, the children are DEAD??????!!!???, HAIL TYRION when he lead the sortie himself, WINTERFELL IS NO MORE?????

I didn't realize how much I wanted Renly to still be alive until I reached that particular part. He wasn't of course and I was all confused when it turned out that it was Tywin who had won. I didn't care how GRRM brought him back from the dead, I just want him back! And the kids, I knew that they just had to be alive but still, it was harrowing to think that Bran and Rickon were no more. Oh how I HATEDDESPISEDIWANTTOSKINHIMALIVE Theon.

I enjoyed Sansa's story, and Catelyn's, too.

And Jon Snow ... now I'm terrifed of reading Book 3. How would his siblings and the Winterfell people think of him when they heard about him? What would Robb think? I think Arya wouldn't believe that Jon would really have gone over to the other side, but I'm fretting big time as to what Robb would say. I've lost all hope of them seeing each other again but I really, really don't want Robb to think badly of Jon!

Who will die next???? And why oh why the chapters are so short? Just when I was really into one character's pov, before I knew it, it was another's.

ps I'm a little bit confused as to who burned down Winterfell. Roose Bolton? But I thought they were allies of the Starks? I should go back to that part again but it was so painful to read :/

And a rec - Dragonheat by tweedle, a LoTR/GoT crossover, Jon Snow meets an elf and a hobbit. A wonderful read indeed. And now I have a hankering for Lord Jon Snow and his fellow rangers of the north meeting the other rangers of the north, the Middle Earth kind. claudia603? :D

I am biting my lip so hard at them moment from my position of power (? Eh, you know what I mean. lol.) in the middle of Book 4. :)

As it is, I may have been spoiled about Robb. I was reading a fanfic and I didn't pay attention to the spoiler warning aaarrrgghh.

I can't get enough of the fanfics but unfortunately there aren't that many of my pairing of choice. Or maybe I just haven't found them yet.

Oh please, please write some more!!

Kinda my thoughts when i read B2. But now im terrified to continue to read B4 and esp start on B5. GRRM scred me to death with his willingness to kill all of my fav characrters. I'm afraid to see that every of their chapters is the last.

Just when I was really into one character's pov, before I knew it, it was another's.

I'm afraid, that's why I've sort of stopped watching the first series. Just when I get hooked it moves on leaving me feeling like I just don't care about any of them.

Oh but I care about them, a lot! The chapters felt "short" because I was really into them, you know when you read fanfics that you love, even a 200000-word one wouldn't feel enough!

I'm hoping to have more people to squee with on my flist, especially for when the new season starts. I'm not keen to join the discussion comms, for one thing I'm afraid to get spoiled book-wise, and the other thing, I've heard that the fandom is a bit like ... SPN, and apparently there're vocal Lannister campers who hate the Starks, and you know, I can't imagine hating the Starks!

Oh please please Arabia, do watch some more?

We will watch the rest - The Hubby likes the naked boobies, of *course* we'll watch the rest! - I just wish it would stop zipping about so I could get to know a few characters before we're off to someone else's story.

I can't remember who half of them are. I feel like I should take notes. I actually did take notes when I read 'I Claudius' years ago!

Heheh, well, to be honest, I didn't get their names at first too. It was The Dwarf and The King, The Queen, the girl with the silver hair, the boy who looked like a girl, Conan ( !! )and Boromir lol. I watched the whole thing for a second time and that was when I really knew them, and I read the book!

My hubby couldn't follow the story, he asked me to wake him up during the naked scenes after which he promptly fell asleep again.
