Survivor One World - the finale.

A finale with all the finalists being strong ( or relatively strong ) and likeable. As far as I know, that was the first Survivor finale in which there was no weak/hateful contestant(s) in it, people who hanged onto the coat-tails of a strong player, or one who was brought to the final for an easy win for the dominant player.

I had hoped that Kim, Chelsea and Sabrina would be in the finals and I'm so very happy that it wasn't Christina there. I would have cringed, big time, to have to listen to her answering the jury's questions.

Cat was a nice surprise. Judging from her eye-rollings and snide comments while she sat with the rest of the jury during tribal councils, I had expected some vitriols coming from her. But what she said was classy and I took back my negative feelings of her.

Not for Colton though. Urgh, he didn't even have the decency to look contrite. Totally NOT in the same villain-class as Russell.

As for Kim, CONGRATULATIONS on a very well-deserved win. You rock! Anyone else here think she looked like Courtney Cox?

Kim and Courtney, they could be sisters!




And also, I was stoked when Jeff said that the next Survivor is going to be in South East Asia. I was hoping that it might be at our very own Pulau Tiga, where it all started 12 years ago. No such luck though, but the Phillipines is exciting too!

Interesting! It was a good season, and Colton was revolting.

Mom and I are re-watching Season One from Netflix (Richard, Sue, Rudy, etc.), and enjoying it immensely.

In the interviews I read on the internet, Colton said he was sorry for the things that he said on the show, but I didn't see any real remorse there during the reunion.

I only saw one episode of the first season which I managed to download. It was so charming! That was the start of all the reality series, wasn't it?

Yes, that was the start. And so much of what came after -- such as alliances -- were invented by the survivors in that first season.
