layne67: (revenge emily)

Still loving every minute of Revenge. Though there *have* been, maybe a couple of episodes earlier on, when I felt that S2 wasn't as good as S1, when Emily's revenge-y schemes changed from avenging her father to avenging her mother, and that felt to me like the writers not knowing how to continue with the David Clarke storyline. But all is good now!

*What* is it about Emily I wonder, that made four grown men and one woman eating out of her hands like that? She could ask any of them to do anything and they *would* do it. I might have hated her for using them the way she did if not for the fact that she has me wrapped around her little finger as well. I am so rooting for her and I'd be devastated if any of them were to betray her, especially Nolan. At one point, I thought fake!Amanda had turned against her but that was not so ( she's the one that I thought most likely to do so ).

Any thoughts?

Jennifer Jason Leigh totally creeped me out. I remember her from the movie Single White Female and I kept thinking of her as an older Hedy. Look out Victoria *inserts creepy slasher movie soundtrack* you're number one on her hit list!!

And also, Emily Thorne = Oliver Queen ( well, sort of ), with Victoria = Moira, Charlotte = Thea. While Revenge is all about the subtlety, Arrow is all bangbangbang. Oliver crosses out names from a list, Emily crosses out faces from a pic. Heheh, Oliver even has a big box to Emily's tiny one! Those two should totally compare notes!

As I said before, I'm at that stage where I'm not sure what to think anymore. I didn't like the start because the huge Father Revenge seems forgotten, and hey, was he even a good guy as previously thought??? I'm a bit lost there. And now this with the not so dead mother instead. Yes, it seems they're basically starting all over again with a new revenge. But not as cleverly done as in the first season. Of course I've only seen 2 eps. 3rd tomorrow night. :)

But you do have a point about Emily. I like her too and I am sure I really shouldn't. She uses her friends like they are nothing to her! I do wonder though. She's a little lost girl somewhere inside. I think I see a lot of regret and hurt on her face from time to time but she simply can't leave it all be. She must seek revenge.

But I especially hate whenever Nolan gets walked on, even if she seems to regret doing it so I tend to forgive her. I sure hope she has his back. But how much can he take and still keep helping her? Jack... well, he is clueless about it all so he doens't really know he is being used does he. I wonder what he would do if he found out who Emily is. Could he really be understanding? I doubt it. Amanda... yup. If anyone will betray Emily she would be my first guess too.

You're feeling what I felt at around that time, I think, that David Clarke seemed no more. But I assure you, the Revenge is still burning bright ( or dark ) within Emily!

If I didn't like Emily, I probably couldn't bear to watch the show as she's the heart and soul of the story, so I'm glad that I like her. My anti-heroine ...

I think that one of the reasons that I like her is that she doesn't pine for the men, they pine for her instead and I like that!

I really want to see Emily giving Nolan a good hug, he needs it!

I saw the end of S1 but S2 doesn't start here until next year. I'm really looking forward to Noland's hair cut!
