Two Boys from Kansas in King Uther's Court by
ariadnes_string. SPN / Merlin crossover. Gen. Completed.
This is Sam and Dean thrown back into the year 528, meet Arthur and Merlin, and Gaius and Gwen and Uther, and one particular person ( spoiler! ) who trully gave me the chills when the name was first mentioned.
A very enjoyable read, and the interactions between the four main characters are extremely engaging, and what happened to the brothers in King Uther's court right from the moment they were captured by a knight kept me at the edge of my seat. I teared up here and there, laughed out loud plenty of times, because 6th century or not, Dean is still Dean, and Sam is still his geeky, adorable self, and Arthur and Merlin are their awesome, amazing selves!
“Fair sir,” said the knight, or Jedi warrior, or whatever the fuck he was, “will ye just?”
“Will I which?”
“Will you try passage of arms for land or lady or for—“
“Seriously? Seriously? What, did someone drop acid in the fake mead at the Renaissance Fair? Stop dicking around, man, and fuck off.”
