Anyone here watching CSI:NY? I thought 9x04 Unspoken was very cool. I didn't know about the episode beforehand so I was wondering why no one was talking. It turned out that there was no dialogue for the whole episode! Well, there was some at the end, but on the whole it was made up of songs ( Green Day's, which made my kid's day, he's such a fan ) - not a musical mind you, though I probably wouldn't mind seeing Mac and the gang singing and dancing through an episode, though I guess that has to be a dream-episode or something lol.

It was neatly done, Greenday's new songs that were featured in that episode were great, and everyone's acting was superb, all done through a myriad of body languages and facial expressions with some help from text messages and writings on the wall. Definitely a keeper, that episode.

I love it when my shows do "special" episodes ( there's probably a term for it? ), like the black-and-white Monster Movie episode from SPN, or when Sam and Dean were plunged into TV world in the brilliant Changing Channels ( that was one of my favourite episodes ever ), or when the Fringe folks were LSD'd and they appeared as animated characters, or when Olivia and the rest appeared as 1940s noir characters, that was a musical I think omg I LOVE that episode, having them singing was totally awesome.

Speaking of CSI, I got an email from a CS Team. A genuine email, not spam. Not the CS team though and not signed by Det Mac Taylor unfortunately. And speaking of Mac Taylor, I saw Forrest Gump again the other day and it tickled me that Gary Sinise's character was called Dan Taylor. I like to think that his name in CSI:NY is a shout-out to Second Lieutenant Dan Taylor. And also, Gary Sinise doesn't change all that much after all these years. Like Kristin Kreuk. Catherine Chandler looks exactly the same as Lana Lang and it has been, how many years? Ten?

On another note, heh, there's now a US version of Primeval? Caught the first few minutes of it this morning before I went to work and I was ridiculously pleased to see Andrew Le Potts as a guest star. Who would have thought that Connor ( and Abby of course ) would be the ones who survived until the end of the series? I have a soft spot for Connor, and googling him up, I was pleasantly suprised to find out that he and Abby have hooked up for real!

I miss those anomalies ... and the different haircuts the cast had with every new season.

I really liked that CSI:NY episode too, I thought it was an interesting way to do it. I've been getting a bit bored with the show lately and was considering stopping watching but I might keep going for a bit.

Same here. Most of the time, I was falling asleep while watching the show. But this season has been pretty good so far, those two arsonist eps for instance, I thought they were excellent.

Remember Flack's late girlfriend, Angell, the one who died in season 5? ( The one who played Madison the werewolf on SPN ). The new detective, Lovato, reminded me of her. I wonder whether that was intentional on the producers part, and I wonder whether Flack would think so too.

I love a well done "special episode" (like the musical episode of Buffy! :D), but sometimes it gets on my nerves if I'm just in the mood for the regular show and they do something that sort of retracts the attention from the normal style...But yeah, mostly I think if it's well done, I like it! :D

I don't think Primeval has actually aired here yet, but SyFy has picked it up, which makes me insanely happy because it has Niall Matter in it. I loved him in "Eureka".

I downloaded the first episode, not sure where it was aired originally. It said Space Channel or something there.

I'm not familiar with any of the actors!

In general I'm not a fan of those kind of "weird" episodes. Sometimes it does work though. Have not seen that CSI episode but I love Greenday so I'm thinking I would enjoy that. :)

Ohhhhh, speaking of Kristin Kreuk. I saw the first eppy of Beauty and the Beast yesterday. O_O I don't think it works for me. Gonna have to see more than one eppy though. I just LOVED the original so much I felt a big NO. New Vincent was like a cross between the Hulk and Max from Dark Angel. :D

More TV.

I've watched Dallas now. Hehehehe, so weird. New yet so familiar. They're so old is my first reaction!!! *lol* And boy does things NEVER change for that family. Funny. Oh, and 24's bad!Tony was there. :D Adn WHERE have I seen John Ross before? I swear I've seen him in another series.

Tell me, what's going on in Revenge? I'm on 2nd episode second season and I am a bit lost. With the whole mother and secret bad guys thingy. Huh? Not as good as first season to me.

If you're a fan of Green Day then I think you'd enjoy that episode!

Lol, New Vincent made me think of the Hulk too. My favourite character from the show is actually JT, Vincent's long suffering friend. I enjoy his witty exchanges with Catherine lol, quite the highlight of the show for me!

Yup, "so old omg" was my first ( and second and third ) reaction on seeing the original Ewings in the new Dallas. All except Sue Ellen I think. She doesn't change all that much I think? And I'm kind of glad in a way that Pam isn't back because I've seen her "now" pics and she doesn't look very pretty :((( But having said that, I still want to see her making a comeback. And yup, Almaeda is baaaaack!!

John Ross reminds me of J Lo's ex, Mark Anthony :))

Emily thought her mother is dead but it seems that she's still very much alive and involved with Bill Buchanan ( !!! ). I had the same feeling as you somewhere at ep 2 or 3, that S2 isn't as good as S1, but now I'm at ep 6 and the love is back in full force.
